RTTS September Glitch Question

In my RTTS career I recently advanced through September, making extra sure to not enter into any training modes to avoid the game breaking glitch. I made sure to also make a back up file at the end of August, just in case my game glitched and I needed to wait for the patch. I was able to make it to the end of the season, and now have started Spring Training 2010 with no issues.

With that being said, am I out of the woods, and can I begin playing training modes again, or should I still be worried about the glitch happening in April of 2010? Is my save file still corrupted since I made it through September 2009? Do you think I can officially delete my August 09 save file, or do I need to wait for the patch?

as far as I know you only have to skip training in sept, but you will need to do it every sept

Yes. My first career hit the crash in Sept. 2011. I had to start over and got through Sept. 2011 with the new career, but then made the mistake of forgetting to skip the training in Sept. 2012 and got the crash again. I guess it's only in Septembers where you got called up, but I'm not sure if it continues every year even after you're a regular major league starter.

I just want it confirmed that you cannot continue the pre-existing RTTS with this patch and that you need to start a new one.

Obviously the patch today didn't fix this problem. Shall we wait for another one?

If you still have the save file before the crash after you download the patch you should be fine. You can now participate in those training sessions. It won't crash on you but if your save file is after the crash then you must start over.
