EA once did this back in Madden 02 where they included the USFL teams. Back then you could only use them in Play Now Mode but it was a pretty good option and the games were actually fun trying to adjust to all the lower rated players on each team.

They should add the UFL and allow for players to earn a contract with NFL teams.

They had NFL Europe teams and pre made custom teams they never had a non NFL league in Madden. Besides that we all know EA isn't what they used to be and aren't going to stray too far away from the bare minimum.

Yep, it was NFL Europe, and they were so lower rated. I wish there had been an option to take one of those teams into Franchise (like you could already do with created teams) for a rags-to-riches progression.
