    Rmiok222 MLBTS25 HOF Sliders

    Hello all!

I will jump straight into this. The goal of my set every single year is to have all the stats at the end of the year within the realm of possibility, yet being surprised from game to game. You will win 15-2 sometimes. You will lose 11-1 sometimes. Also, you will have 1-0 games and your cookie cutter 4-3 games.

What I absolutely do not want is to every player feel the same and every game feel the same. Which is why I try my hardest not to veer too far from default but I will if I see it’s totally necessary.

THIS IS FOR CLASSIC PITCHING AND DIRECTIONAL OR TIMING HITTING. I’m sure they’d be okay on others but this is all I have played with for years.

    Testing begins TONIGHT!
Starting with what you ended MLB 24 with should work just fine.....I have had no issues and after 2 games played, I feel comfortable saying that I could start my franchise for MLB 25 tonight if I wanted to

My plan is to try and wait until real life Opening Day, which will allow me to make any surprise roster moves that happen late in training camp. It also allows me to play a variety of test games between now and then to make sure the sliders are franchise raeady

I have definitely noticed it doesn’t need much change from 24 which is really nice! I might get started on my franchise tomorrow I’m not sure if I could wait until opening day

The only values I am keeping an eye on right now is cpu consistency and cpu timing. Both might go up to 6, but too early to say quite yet. Playing very good. This is a very good game this year imo and I am loving it. Franchise is already rolling.

Interesting point of view. I like how we are all very similar but all have something’s different.

I’m interested on what your reasoning for solid hits at 5? The consensus is mostly at 3-4.

I put power down to 4 and kept solid hits at 5 for user because I pretty religiously lead the league in HRs every year as the guardians if I put power at 5. Instead of putting solid hits at 4 I put power at 4 because i feel I get more hit variety other than hr or nothing.

I threw a 2 hitter last game against the royals with cpu solid hits at 5. I always prefer it to be too hard opposed to too easy. I simply enjoy the challenge so I guess that’s a personal preference right there. I’ve given up 10 runs and also 0 runs on 2 hits. Seems okay for me so far I guess.

Going to do that with power and solid hits. Good idea. Like you, I seem to always lead the league in homeruns or really close with teams that shouldn't be. Setting new career highs in homeruns hit with multiple players etc.

How are you guys feeling about some of the reaction times on ground balls? Specifically for the CPU hitters. I know there's a new reaction times mechanic this year. It seems like the window needs adjusting on their end. Too many great reactions, followed by a head scratcher from the same player idk

I've been able to play 8 spring training games with the Brewers so far. Ill post my thoughts as straight as possible. I prefer HUM power/solid hits at 5 as opposed to the 4/6 split. Ball physics off the bat, combined with wind, are different. The ratings matter more at 5/5 whereas at 4/6 it's player driven IMO. User preference. Wind is too much, but player preference lol. The fielder reaction thing is more an SDS issue. I guess the main thing is the power and solid hits again. I would play on 4 power, but idk how many hrs my guys that should hit 15 or 10 would hit barely 5? Or doubles from those guys? It's give and take i suppose? I don't wanna settle. Those are my thoughts as things are.

Nice thanks for the feedback. I’m about 8 games into my franchise and for the guardians my HR totals are normal so far. I’ve played at 4 user power the past few years and it’s been good for me at least but I know for some people it may not be ideal. At 5 I typically lead the league in HR and with Cleveland that makes no sense. I haven’t noticed the ball physics being different but I’ll take a look! Cpu power is at 5 btw not 6

For sure! User solid hits from 5 to 4 just because I was getting too many hits. Had two games with 20+.

User and cpu stamina back down to 5 because it’s not needed at all this year unlike many years in the past. They did a good job finally with overhauling stamina as well as bullpen logic. Finally!

Cpu timing from 5 to 6 because they were swinging and missing a bit much for me. Also adds a little extra challenge which I felt like was still needed.

Cpu strike frequency from 5 to 4 because most games cpu is throwing over 65% strikes almost every game, some games even above 70%

I forgot to mention arm strength from 4 to 5. I was seeing what should have been double plays not turned in time because the runner was beating the throw out at first too easily. So went back to 5.
