Starting lineup not working correctly?

I set my starting lineup (different from what the cpu wants) and they take the floor at the beginning of the game. Then I manually sub my bench in later but when I try to put my starters back in they are the personnel that the cpu selected and not who I chose to actually start.

I saved my legacy correctly after choosing my own starters.

Any help?

Is this 2K8?

Are you referring specifically to the "Starters" preset group for when you do "mass subs"? If so, I've noticed this and never figured it out. I just do manual player-by-player subs.

Yes, 2k8 and yes, mass subs. It's so weird that it reverts back to what the cpu deems the starters.

I've been manually subbing in the ones I want which is fine, but mass subs make it much easier.
