That's cool. I was getting tired of hearing the same voice over and over again. (Do we even know who the current PA announcer was?)

I wish they would do like NBA 2K and have every team's specific PA announcer but I can understand why that's not easily done.

The PA voice she is replacing has been at it for maybe 4-5 cycles now? He has not been around as long as you think.

If she sounds good then I am good...if it sounds lame then there could be issues.

Being a PA announcer is an art and she is the PA announcer for the Orioles so she is obviously highly competent.

Hopefully she will fit right in like a glove to the overall ambience of the game.

If not these boards will be on fire.....LOL.

I live in Baltimore's TV market but since MASN doesn't like to bring it's product to people, I haven't heard her work. I wish there was some actual audio samples in that clip besides the one in the recording studio. It's all based on how it sounds in the stadium, not in front of a microphone.

PBS has a lady PA and she is awesome…have no idea what she is saying but it’s great. If any of you have watch a game in Japan and then play PBS you know how accurate that representation is. It would be weird not having a lady PA in Japanese baseball. We shall see with the show. I feel optimistic.

Pretty cool news!

This will be the third PA announcer for MLB The Show.

Anything that gives more variety to the audio is music to my ears.

I wonder if MLB The Show will have 2 PA announcers or is she taking over?

The current PA announcer was a nice change from the first one who was in the game for a long time. However I am not very crazy about his PA announcing sounds after hearing him now for a few years. His voice is fine but sometimes you can barely hear him over the crowd. So I hope this new women PA announcer is not only very good at her job but I also hope SDS will improve how the PA announcing comes across in the game.

Graphics and audio are 2 of the most important things to me in a baseball game so this news is actually the first thing so far that put a little smile on my face.

Gameplay will always be number 1 but graphics, audio and Presentation are a close second!!!

I just want MLB The Show to look and sound as close to real life as possible.

I imagine it means exactly that. Hopefully Sony can get her to record a ton of audio over the next several months and patch them in. And then be fully caught up for MLBTS26 release.

Currently there are still thousands less last names in the database since the last announcer change. SDS said they would eventually be putting all the lost names back, but are still far short. Now if the new announcer means we are again losing thousands of last names, that would be very discouraging.

One of the premises of RTTS is that you can put yourself in the game. Wasn't that the point of Facescan? However, what good is putting your face in the game if the sound file of your last name is missing? That is my situation. My last name was in the game since 2011, but was lost in the announcer change and has ner returned.

I am trying to remember if I just tuned out the PA announcer and forgot we even had one. I will have to pay attention this year
