Did The Last Patch screw this game up??..

I was absolutely loving this game up until recent it seems like i cant play defend or make an open shot!! CPU players are now getting through every screen i set and my defenders can no longer stay with the assigned man.. Anyone else notice?.. Getting mad frustrating.

I don't know exactly when it happened but I do feel like my interior defense is so weak. CPU just blows past all my players like it's nothing.

Likewise, I can be in perfect position and the game will decide to just slide me out of the way, for the CPU to take a dribble forward for an uncontested (or at least now uncontested) layup or short jumper.

On offense, I can be in position for a drive and kick for wide open jumper, and the game will cause me to step in 1 or 2 steps, or bobble forward into a contested situation. Things that weren't happening very often prior to. Very unenjoyable experience atm.

I decreased cpu value by 5 point of agility and speed

Haven’t had any issues, but I also play on default sliders.

knew i wasnt the only one

its frustrating because the CPU sees you've made adjustments and to be competitve it cheats. Still a great game non the less..

I think it plays better now than it has in months when I couldn’t drive, make a layup or hook shot. I could always make open jumpers. I play on All Star. It plays more like it did at launch now in my opinion.

Also, I like the fact that dominant post players can actually score on me again unless I double them. I could play against a Hakeem Olajuwon (cpu) with a bum Bulls center, and Hakeem wasn’t a threat to score just by my mere presence. Not so much anymore.

Is there any defensive changes you can make to defend the paint better? I get the commentators almost every game talking about how terrible my defense in the paint is

I usually set my Defensive Settings to Stay Attached "Never" for anyone who isn't an A- or better 3 point shooter.

only sliders adjustment ive made are even the human/cpu slider to the same both sides for the shooting (50/50). I want it fair on both ends..

Yes it is horrible right now. Your superstars will only make shots about half the time if they're wide open it feels like and no slightly even contested shots. I had multiple times where Jayson Tatum was shooting over Jalen Brunson and it was brick after brick.

This is not true. I’ve been shooting at the same clip as before the patch and this is on superstar. They’ve definitely tweaked some things but shooting isn’t any more difficult.

Yeah, my team's offense still seems right on point. I usually shoot 41-48% per game. It's just my defense, and more specifically my interior defense that's struggling.

The only real change I’ve seen is the inside offense is better on both sides. I was missing too many easy layups before the patch and since it dropped, both myself and the CPU is making more (which is good most of the time).

My only complaint is the animations of the CPU getting to the basket seem a little too OP at times, but it’s been that way since launch. Found a way to play better defense with it, but some of those weird animations pop up and it end up being a free layup/dunk even if I’m in the right position (it goes “through” me trying to take a charge by warping in those rare cases).

Personally I feel like it’s in the best spot it’s been this season. I’m having the most fun recently. I only play MyNBA and use real shooting %. If I play with my son we do a team and use difficulty based shooting, real% layup and user timing FT.

I feel like you can make hook shots and inside shots now much better with good players.

I am missing layups that are the slightest bit contested and shooting the ball is a joke. Mid range jumpers and threes are so bad I shoot 1-6;2-10;etc. with my best shooters most games.
