Hello. How to win face off using the right controller (nhl 24, ps4)? I lose every single one. YouTube guides don't help. What to do?

Saw this on Reddit, I was too lazy to come up with an answer, lol ! Hope it helps. You can also lower the difficulty of faceoffs in the AI tab of the sliders.
Hand grip is key. You'll want to hold down on the left analog stick, on the right analog stick you want to hold it to the left (forehand) or right (backhand) and when the linesman drops the puck, a quick flick of the right analog stick straight back (like you would to shoot) When you get your timing down, you should win majority of faceoffs. If you are too early in your movement, you'll lose the face off.
And if you go UP instead of down, your player will try to tie up the other centerman.PernellKarl076 NHL25 Slider Set

Re: NHL 24 face off, i need help
I struggled with face offs, even with the difficulty set at 1. I checked Youtube and found other advice on Google but nothing seemed to help so I began to experiment on my own.
I finally settled on a method where before the face off I just simply hold down on both sticks and when the ref drops the puck I pull both sticks to which ever side I want the puck to go. I am winning approximately half my face offs now with the difficulty set at 40.
I am sure this method is not the proper way to do it but it works for me.Originally posted by ImTellinTimIf I lived in Waco, I would find you and kick you right in the nuts.Comment
