just got the early edition. Played the tutrioral and went straight online. First match wilder vs Ali. It didnt take long to find a fight. Im not a graphics guy but holy **** this looks gorgeous. The boxers really look like how they look. Gameplay is butter. This is a boxing game. I wish ufc can be like this i would have play it more. Love boxing grew up on boxing and ufc and it’s shame we havent had a boxing game in so long. This is def going to be played heavily. Can’t wait to see more boxers down the line. The gameplay is fluid. It’s difficulty based on the boxers with their height and power. This is def a must have

Re: Undisputed impression
First impressions:
It feels like this game is made by OS boxing fans specifically catered for OS boxing fans.
Right off the bat these are the few things I check for. Punch output, stamina and even on default settings punch output is good. Played against ali, he threw 35 punches in rd 1.
Next is the fighter ai: I was like ok, Ali ai is outside fighter so it's natural his punch output is good, lets test frazier.
Frazier will 90 percent of the times move forward but again his punch output is not that much higher than Ali. He swarms you, but mostly with his defense up and looking to get inside position, just like the real frazier.
In previous boxing games, Frazier would have thrown a 100 punches a round while moving forward.
The game definitely tries to keep the integrity of the sport intact.
You can block and move
You can block and weave
You can block and punch at the same time (weaker punches, but still scores points).
Graphics are really good
Punch accuracy is realistic
Im pleasantly surprised by this game and will support this game and its devs. You can tell they love boxing.Last edited by phillyfan23; 10-08-2024, 02:44 PM.Comment

Re: Undisputed impression
I played Fight Night Champion right before playing Undisputed and this is what I came up with:
Graphics are much better on Undisputed, from character likeness to lighting and frame rate (which is expected considering FN is two console generations ago).
Commentary is better on Fight Night. Presentation is better overall as well, but that’s almost expected with EA Sports having a bigger budget.
I’ve only had two matches, and I was effective with Ali against Frazier, but when I picked Roy Jones against Nigel Benn, I couldn’t block his punches and my punches weren’t very fast or snappy. I ended up getting knocked out.
Controls are very similar to Fight Night, but I gotta get used to using the left bumper to body punch when on Fight Night, it was the left trigger (which also was used to weave).
- Wish there were more camera angles. As of now, there are only 4. My favorite camera angle on Fight Night was the broadcast cam where you actually moved around the ring without the ring rotating.
- For a game that’s billed as a simulation, I wish there weren’t so many camera wipes. I want to be able to get penalized for punching after the bell. When a fighter throws a wild punch where there body turns, I want to be able to punch them with their momentum and send them down (even if it doesn’t hurt them). Seems like most knock downs are due to a really good punch that hurts the fighter or an accumulation of damage.
- I know there are licensing issues, but we need to have venues in Vegas and New York.
I know clinching and no ref in ring are things they may add in a future patch. Seems pointless to have Kenny Bayless when he is only present pre fight, during knock downs and post fight.
They also need to make the HUD more customizable. I started a fight and put it on simulation. Little did I know that meant I wouldn’t be able to see the time. Also, you can’t change it through the pause menu.
Game seems to be going in the right direction, but as of now, I’m not impressed. I’m hopeful it will improve with future updates.Comment

Re: Undisputed impression
I'm not speaking on graphics, everything on this console gen imo is very good graphically.
gameplay wise lets see...
controls are extremely smooth
punches have weight to them.
jabs are very fluid.
movement with feet and around the ring also smooth.
bottom line for me, no current boxing game since 2011 OR 2024 have a pretty decent Boxing game with i might add current and past fighters with the ability to not only have a very deep robust career mode but also create a fighter mode.
for those online fighters they got you covered to, personally I'm not an online gamer, but its there for those that want it.
the company has planned dlc free and paid, and will continue to update for future endeavors.
so for me, I'm thankful to have a boxing game again. but what do I know I'm just an Oldman enjoying the game for what it is. a video game, isn't real life for me.I stream a variety of video games for relaxation and fun.

First Impressions
Deluxe edition playing on the Series X. Completed the tutorial and then just finished playing two online fights. Lost both and got knocked out in both...largely due to the fact that the controls for getting up off the canvas will take some getting used to. It reminds of the weightlifting controls on Madden for the NFL Combine. The game looks really good despite not supporting HDR. The gameplay is good. You can feel the punches and it's not an either the punch lands perfectly or it doesn't land at all type of thing. You can punch from different angles and land.
Word of caution, don't mess with Sugar Ray Robinson. He's a beast lol. So is Canelo."Dunks are tough, but when a 35 footer come rainin out the sky...it'll wire you up"Comment

Just finished finished fighting Bud Crawford online and it went the distance. I lost bu unanimous decision and my face paid the price. I loved every minute of it."Dunks are tough, but when a 35 footer come rainin out the sky...it'll wire you up"Comment

Yooooooo, kudos to this development team! This game is straight butter smooth. Very technical and precision. The footwork and movement animations are INSANELY good. This has set a new bar. Now, its not without its flaws, gotta get that career mode fleshed out then we'll be all the way in there!
The movement and punches have clearly been polished and refined from the PC early access that many of us are used to. Punches have the snap and impact now, and the footwork is even better than PC early access (which was one of things that stood out for me then, its out of this world now).
Man, I wish UFC 5 had movement and precision like this, I'd be all over that because of the huge roster, while undisputed could use more fighters asap.Comment

Re: Undisputed Deluxe WBC Edition Launches Today - Post Your Impressions
Just got my first dub online as Josh Taylor. I beat Lomachenko by unanimous decision that really was a close fight. I scored a knockdown right before the bell in the final round to push me over the top. That was satisfying. 1-3 for the day. I'm going ng to bed now lol."Dunks are tough, but when a 35 footer come rainin out the sky...it'll wire you up"Comment

Re: Undisputed Deluxe WBC Edition Launches Today - Post Your Impressions
I played 3 fights tonight. I have had early access and played on and off, but really have not touched the game since July. During most of early access I was left unimpressed with the game. It just did not do a good job in many areas.
I will give the developers a lot of credit, they improved most aspects of the actual boxing gameplay. Punches finally have speed and snap, stamina seems to be in a good place, and fighters have more distinct styles than they had during early access. I am impressed with what they have done.
I will also mention that I play pretty much all offline against the AI.
I still need to have some more fights to really test some things, but again, overall I am impressed and happy with the gameplay.
That being said, the fact that there is no clinching is a big deal. No clinching and real fighting from in the clinch needs to be present in the game. I hope they get that figured out and added soon.
One big area for me, that I have not looked at yet, is the boxer creation. I know the system is supposed to be deep, but it is not something I have messed with yet.
With that, does anyone know if there is a limit to the number of boxers you can save?Comment
