What is your worst dynasty loss?

In 2029 my (8-2) Louisville squad was ranked #9 in the nation and were tied for 1st in the ACC with Miami. This week we hosted the #3 Hurricanes (9-1) and I was nervous, but still confident. I was nervous because Miami is a good 5 OVR better than our squad as we’re still rebuilding in my 2nd year with the program. The last team we played nearly as good as Miami was Clemson (3 OVR better than us) and they took us out 38-21. Still, we entered the game with the #4 total offense and #6 scoring offense in the country.

I scouted their depth chart before kickoff as I’m want to do, and holy hell I don’t know why they’re only 5 points better than us. On paper both of their lines looked primed to dominate, and boy did they live up to the hype! Our defense play okay in the 1st quarter, holding them to only 3 points, but our #4 offense was forced to go 3 and out on our 1st 3 drives and we ended the 1st quarter with 0 first downs and -6 yards of offense.

Things only got worse from there as their offense woke up and their defense continued to stymie everything we tried, and in the end we suffered the 1st shutout in my CFB25 career. We were held to only 132 yards of offense (10 minute quarters), 1.6 yards per rush, and 4 yards per pass. Now I have my OOC season finale vs Kentucky while I wait for Syracuse and SMU to play their conference finales and hope they both lose for a shot at the ACC CCG.

EDIT: Whodathunk when they made that FG on their opening drive that the game was already over…..

Oh yeah. 1 cool thing about the game was this is the 1st time I’ve ever heard Chris and Herbie during the regular season in roughly 145 regular season dynasty games. I wish they had them call more than 1 game per week, but it’s a nice treat when it does happen (once in 12 seasons for me).

I'm playing through a WVU dynasty. I've used all the OOC games to restart their rivalries with VT and Syracuse/Louisville on a rotation. It took me until year 5 to beat VT, and I blew them out. Year 2 was my first game against them as I used their real life schedule for year 1.

In that first game against VT, I was starting a FR QB and my defense was awful as any good FR I had were redshirting and it was kind of a punt year for me.

      VT beat me 56-0.

It's the worst beating I've ever taken against the CPU. Everything that could have gone wrong had gone wrong. They ended up beating me two more times, by 24 and then 2 points. This current season though I demolished them 56-20, and I had backups in during the 4th qtr and they got 2 garbage time TDs. My current team has a 74% Blue Chip ratio and is 94 overall. If I didn't beat them with this team I might have considered starting a new dynasty.

I am playing as Appalachian State and my second game against Clemson was bad, read bad, I lost 44-7.

On the opposite end, I played my game against South Alabama wand won 47-0. Their QB was terrible at throwing. They pretty much ran the ball 80% of the time.

Playing as Army , back in the first week or so of release in July, I lost 42-21 to ... wait for it... the Astronauts. Yeah , I lost to a FCS team. I thought about blaming EA, sue them, and try to get my money back . Lol.

Just got beatdown in the CFP second round by Oklahoma 43-19. Lost to PSU earlier in the year 21-10. Think I lost to Michigan 2 seasons ago like 28-10. Those are probably the worst. The PSU one was not as close as the score indicates.

In my West Virginia dynasty, I lost to a 1-4 Umass team, the next season lost 48-38 to Colorado state and ended up losing 2 5 stars and lost 47-7 to a 2-4 Maryland team that ended my 5 game winning streak AND I was ranked

Re: What is your worst dynasty loss?

In 8 years at the helm of Colorado State, I took the Rams to 5 CFPs, won 6 Mountain West titles, and brought their prestige up from 1.5* to 3.5*

I took the HC job at my alma mater, Wisconsin, in 2035. In my second season with the Badgers, I led them to the CFP as a No. 5 seed, beating Florida State at home to open the tournament. This set up a game in the quarterfinals at the Fiesta Bowl against...the Colorado State Rams. Players I had recruited were still on the team, including the QB who finished 3rd in Heisman voting.

I was quite hyped to play the game and send my former school packing...but I laid an absolute egg and couldn't get any offense going whatsoever. I lost to CSU 34-13...and to rub salt in the wound, the Rams went on to win the CFP national championship over Notre Dame.

Re: What is your worst dynasty loss?

It was in a dynasty from the 2014 game. I can't recall which year it was, but I had advanced to the head coaching role at New Mexico, had managed to win like 10 games, and was playing Stanford in a bowl game. It may have been the bowl game in San Francisco, but not 100% sure. Anyway, I was up by 4, with Stanford down to their last snap. They were on their own 15 or 20. They had to go the length of the field, and I was feeling so confident that I would snag a bowl win and end the season with 11 wins.

Nope! They threw, maybe not even a 30-yard pass, but it sailed over my defender, who I was controlling, and who immediately fell out of position, and landed in the waiting arms of their wide-out, who casually took it the rest of the way in for the win.

I wasn't in prevent, but was in my dime set, which had been working pretty well for most of the game. They weren't even running a hailmary play. It appeared to be just some regular, three-wide set. Yet it worked.
