Re: cdcool's 15 min Quarter: CPU vs CPU (Watched GM) CFB 25 Sliders

I'm using this data as a base of reference for 15 Minute Quarters!

During the 2024 college football season, several games featured exceptionally high combined scores. Notable among them are:

South Alabama vs. Northwestern State (September 12, 2024): South Alabama dominated with an 87–10 victory, amassing a total of 97 points.

Indiana vs. Western Illinois (September 6, 2024): Indiana triumphed 77–3, contributing to an 80-point total.

Ole Miss vs. Furman (August 31, 2024): Ole Miss secured a 76–0 win, resulting in a 76-point game.

Auburn vs. Arkansas (August 31, 2024): Auburn emerged victorious with a 73–31 score, leading to a combined 104 points.

South Florida vs. Tulsa (November 23, 2024): South Florida won 63–30, totaling 93 points.

These averages can vary significantly depending on the specific teams and matchups. College football tends to have more variability due to the wide range of talent and playing styles.

    NFL Averages (2023 Season)
Passing Yards per Game: ~230 yards
Rushing Yards per Game: ~115 yards
    Points per Game: ~22 points
    Sacks per Game: ~2.5 sacks

    College Football Averages (2023 Season)
Passing Yards per Game: ~250 yards
Rushing Yards per Game: ~180 yards
    Points per Game: ~30 points
    Sacks per Game: ~2 sacks

    PASSING AND RUSHING

NFL Average Passing Completion Percentage: Around 64-65%

College Football Average Passing Completion Percentage: Typically ranges from 60-65

NFL Average Rushing Yards per Game: Approximately 115 yards

College Football Average Rushing Yards per Game: Around 180 yards

    NFL
Average Passing Yards per Game: Around 230-250 yards per game.
    Completion Percentage: Typically between 60-65%
Passing Touchdowns per Game: Approximately 1.5-2 touchdowns per game.

    College Football (FBS)
Average Passing Yards per Game: Varies widely, but top teams often average around 300 yards per game.
Completion Percentage: Generally ranges from 55-65%
Passing Touchdowns per Game: Around 2-3 touchdowns per game

    FUMBLES PER GAME

In the 2024 NFL regular season, the average number of fumbles per team was approximately 1.2 per game. This is based on data from TeamRankings, which reports that the Buffalo Bills led the league with 0.6 fumbles per game, while the New England Patriots had the highest at 1.8 fumbles per game.

In contrast, during the 2024 college football season, fumble rates varied more widely among teams. According to TeamRankings, Rutgers had the lowest average with 0.3 fumbles per game, whereas Arkansas had the highest at 2.3 fumbles per game.

These figures suggest that NFL teams generally have fewer fumbles per game compared to college football teams, likely due to the higher skill level and experience of professional players.

During the 2024 season, Florida State University experienced a game with five fumbles in their final matchup against the University of Florida.

Historically, one of the most notable records in college football is the 16 forced fumbles in a single game, which is considered one of the most unbreakable records in FCS football history.

    INTERCEPTIONS PER GAME

NFL: In the 2022 NFL season, teams averaged about 0.9 interceptions per game.

    College Football:
In the 2023 college football season, teams averaged around 1.2 interceptions per game

The higher average in college football can be attributed to the varying levels of quarterback experience and skill.

    INJURIES PER GAME

    NFL:

The average NFL player has about a 4.1% chance of suffering an injury that will prevent them from playing in the following game. This translates to roughly 1.5 injuries per game per team.

    College Football:

College football has a higher injury rate, with about 9.31 injuries per 1,000 athlete-exposures.
This means there are approximately 2.5 injuries per game per team.

The higher injury rate in college football can be attributed to the varying levels of player experience and physical development.

    WIDE RECIEVER DROPS

    NFL:

In the 2023 NFL season, the wide receivers with the highest drop rates included Rashee Rice (16.7%) and Kadarius Toney (15.8%) from the Kansas City Chiefs1.
On average, NFL wide receivers have a drop rate of around 5-7%.

    College Football:

College football wide receivers tend to have a slightly higher drop rate, averaging around 7-10%.
This higher rate can be attributed to the varying levels of experience and skill among college players.

    PLAYER FATIGUE AND ROTATION

    NFL:

Fatigue Management: NFL teams have advanced sports science and medical staff to monitor player fatigue. They use data from wearables and other technology to track player exertion and recovery.

Rotation Strategy: NFL teams often rotate players, especially in positions like running back and defensive line, to keep them fresh. Substitutions are strategic, aiming to maintain high performance and reduce injury risk.

    College Football:

Fatigue Management: College teams also monitor player fatigue, but the resources and technology available can vary widely between programs.

Rotation Strategy: College teams tend to rotate players more frequently due to the larger rosters and the need to develop younger talent. This frequent rotation helps manage fatigue and provides game experience to a broader range of players.

The differences in resources and strategic priorities between the NFL and college football lead to distinct approaches in managing player fatigue and rotation.

    SACKS

    NFL:
In the NFL, the average number of sacks per game varies by team, but as of the 2024 season, the top teams are averaging around 3 to 5 sacks per game. For example, the Minnesota Vikings lead with an average of 5.3 sacks per game.

In the NFL, the average number of sacks per game across all teams is around 2.5 to 3.01. This can vary significantly depending on the team’s defensive strength and the quality of their opponents.

    College Football:
In college football, the average number of sacks per game also varies widely. Top-performing teams like UNLV, Boise State, and Michigan State are averaging around 4 sacks per game.

In college football, the average number of sacks per game also varies widely. Top-performing teams average around 3 to 4 sacks per game.

    NUMBER OF PLAYS

In college football, the number of plays in a game can vary, but on average, there are typically more plays than in an NFL game. College football games usually have around 20-25 more plays per gamee compared to NFL games. This means you can expect roughly 160-180 plays in a typical college football game, though this number can fluctuate based on the teams’ playing styles and game situations.

    TOTAL YARDS PER GAME

    NFL
As of the latest season, the average total yards per game for NFL teams is approximately 332 yards per game.

    College Football (FBS)
For college football, the average total yards per game varies more widely due to the diversity in team performance. However, the average is around 400-450 yards per game.

These averages give a good sense of the overall offensive production in both leagues.

    SCORING

    NFL
As of the latest season, the average points scored per game by NFL teams is approximately 22.8 points.

    College Football (FBS)
In college football, the average points scored per game is generally higher, around 28.8 points.

    PENALTIES

    NFL
In the NFL, the average number of penalties per game for a team is approximately 6.5 penalties.

    College Football (FBS)
For college football, the average number of penalties per game is slightly higher, around 7.2 penalties.

I just tried this and it's pretty cool. Watching with broadcast view really does resemble what you see IRL, most of the time. Just wished they added the out-of-town score bug but don't think that's possible with super sim.

That scorebug works in slow sim in madden so I believe this is just another bug for CFB 25.

It's the little ticker that scrolls at the bottom showing scores from games across the country.

Actually I'm wrong, scorebug is what you see where the score is for the current game. The scrawl below it shows the scores from games elsewhere. Just the scrawl isn't visible in slow Sim for somereason.
