Can you educate me? So I can download modded rosters to my ps5 rosters? How is that plausible. Is this cross play related?

And for the love of our God. Can 2K add more roster slots other than just 10? Should be unlimited!

I saw this kicking around as well, how is this real and allowed haha? Do we have actual examples that you can link to? If it's real, I'll put a story up on it because this is wild (and def gonna get patched hah).

It's all in this thread. https://forums.operationsports.com/f...-now-2k25.html Several YouTube videos up on it.

Has this been confirmed to actually work with player mods? Every example I’ve seen is just the hidden faces already on 2K, not completely custom modded faces.

Yeah...better enjoy it now. I have a feeling this won't last either. 2k will definitely press that no fun button.

Again, I don't think that sort of stuff will work because that's changing the files themselves -- same reason highly edited stadiums wouldn't translate. But even just "normal" PC cross-platform will be a win for a lot of this stuff.

I'm afraid we can only transfer to consoles files that are hidden, not new ones, like Barkley or Miller for instance. I hope I'm wrong. Cross fingers

You're not wrong. No mods on console. Roster / Player DNA edits are not mods; they're just roster / Player DNA data.

I have my doubts that it'll be patched, mainly because it's unlikely that PC cross-share was an outright mistake (if so then check the 2K job listings because someone will have definitely been fired over it) and if it was something they enabled on purpose, then they 100% anticipated this would happen (and were presumably OK with that, in which case why would they patch it?). It's not like this is some sneaky unforeseeable consequence of PC cross-share. I think the only reason those of us on PC didn't notice right away is because we all just assumed it wouldn't be enabled and didn't even bother to check for awhile (since PC users sharing only-possible-on-PC edits was the obvious outcome, and I think we all assumed 2K wouldn't be cool with that).

My hope was at point that when someone on pc change original file with new one (like original Kobe for modded one) and put it into roster and then for 2k share, then i could download roster with changed faces. But I don't know how modes or changing files working, so probably it's impossible.

Hidden players have always been a staple in this series. (B Roy in 2K22 and C Webb in 2K23 as well as the plethora FA pool that was stashed away in 2K13).

So, even if PC won't be a mainstay, the players that last played in 22-23 but are being affected in this phenomenon shouldn't pose an issue. They are removed from the initial launch of the game across their respective default rosters and classes already.

But I gotta say it was nice not to create a Blake or Wall CAP this year cause I already had 2 minutes of film on both.

                        Please stop spreading misinformation.

Mods will never work on console (especially for a yearly sports game). The best thing you're gonna get are "hidden" cyberfaces that are already in the files. Jerseys, courts, logos but even these are yet to be seen as there are doubts we will see a roster/hook tool on PC this year.

I mean technically PC people could upload a roster that contains a mod. But when you download it on console all you're going to see is either a blank/invisible model with jerseys or the default in-game of model of said modded player.

So the best thing you're gonna get if you need an "updated" 2001 Allen Iverson on console is a CAP model and ask someone on PC (if there is a roster tool down the line) to assign all his portrait photos and or action photo on the menus and that's it.

Unfortunately 2K removed roughly 200+ cyberfaces (most are key NBA role players) in the files this year. So it isn't as good as previous years, most likely to avoid potential legal issues

We also haven't seen these many accessible playable celebrities in 10 years, and actually probably the first time in 2K history that their cyberfaces are accessible to be edited. 2K10 had the finalized ratings on them that were buffed to 89-99 but obviously couldn't be moved or changed at all.

Does anyone of someone making realistic fictional draft classes in this 2K yet? Would really help overcome the awful generated draft classes

Can the all-time decade teams and FIBA team be edited on PC and imported to console? Same with maybe unlocking the FIBA teams for play now use?
