    Matt Waldron

    Legend Hitting:

Anyone when facing Waldron from Padres just get a crazy strike to ball %?

The last 2-3 times I’ve faced him he will literally throw one ball an inning. I try to be patient vs the Knuckle and it’s not worth it b/c every pitch is a strike. I even play w/ CPU Strike % at 4.

I don't recall the ball to strike ratio, but I played against him 2 weeks ago and it was brutal. I could do nothing against him at all.

Crazy because I swing at everything. Never again! I'm simming the next game if I play him again.

When it comes to pitchers and batters in real baseball and The Show, I am squarely in the pitchers corner. Except when it comes to the knuckleball in MLBTS. I hated and still hate facing it. Tim Wakefield and RA Dickey always looked like first ballot HoF'ers against me. If The Show banned it like spitballs, it wouldn't hurt my feelings nary a bit. Goodbye and good riddance.

I was middle of the pack in team walks entering the game (my disclaimer that I don’t hack)

He went 8 innings vs me this last outing with 61 strikes and 11 balls (half of those were on fastballs) 5 strikeouts, 0 walks, 5 hits allowed. They pulled him in the 9th after a base hit in a 2-0 game.

I think in my last franchise the last time I faced him it was so bad in the same way I turned the game off half way through in rage.

Early in the summer when I was hitting on Hall of Fame I beat him to death before he left the game w an injury.

May have to manual injure him if I see him again; just can’t deal w the strike ratio.

Couple ideas to consider: drop his control to something more palatable or tweak his knuckler entirely, into a knuckle curve lol. That'll show him.

I’ll prob just “sore shoulder” him and spot start Johnny Brito in his place lol - more realistic.

I have the opposite logic. If I face him again I'll be determined to figure how to beat him. Not sure how but I will try ....

I haven’t faced him yet but I’ve faced Wakefield and Dickey. I struggled few times but then I just sat back and expect knuckleballs, learned to be more patient and I was able to time them and I ended up hitting them really well. When they throw fastballs, that’s when I miss, thankfully they don’t throw them much.

You could try the old knuckleball cliche. If it's high let it fly, if it's low let it go.
