I'm sure there are not many people who do auto-recruiting but just wondering if you still find Dynasty fulfilling or if it takes the fun away. Just don't think I have the desire to mess with recruiting.

Does anyone do auto-recruiting in Dynasty?
I started a dynasty and did a few weeks of recruiting but kinda find it tedious and boring to essentially just allocate points to players every week and hope they join. Not to mention either you've studied a lot of online videos and are very good at recruiting and have an advantage over CPU, or you don't know what you're doing and have a disadvantage from the CPU. I guess I'd prefer my recruiting class to be determined by how well my team is doing rather than how much inside info I've studied to learn how to recruit well. Nor do I have the time/desire to do so.

It would really be best if EA would bring back the recruiting website, or create an app for recruiting purposes. It really can become tedious, and time consuming.
I had considered giving Auto a try, but after going out and finding the guys I want on my team, getting them on my recruiting board first, then seeing how the CPU manages it from that point."Not the victory but the action. Not the goal but the game. In the deed the glory."Comment

I’ve seen people write on here that the cpu is pretty terrible at recruiting for you (compared to the 133 other cpu recruiters, not just compared to a human). I simmed a season for testing and turned on auto recruiting. My Michigan team’s recruiter signed 10 recruits (average recruits at that) while the rest of the B1G signed 20+.

It sucks because I prefer the free-agency/draft/signing part of Madden better than recruiting but prefer College in every single other way.Comment

Ugh good to know. I would have thought they would be equally as good as the CPU team's recruiting. If that's true then I don't think I'd want to auto-recruit.

Just start a new dynasty, set recruiting to auto, sim to signing day and see how they did. Then sim to the off-season signing day and see how the final class looks.Favorite Teams:

So, it's was too easy to recruit, I'm gonna have the CPU auto recruit and I'll just go and get a few main guys I want and leave it be.Twitch

No way! Thats the best part of a college game to me. Now in Madden…I’ll auto all the financial/roster building tasks save for the actual drafting of players.F-L-O-R-I-D-A! S-T-A-T-E! Florida State! Florida State! Florida State! Wooooo!Comment

Same, I love recruiting and actually surprised how addicting it is. I rather recruit than play out most of my games.Comment

Re: Does anyone do auto-recruiting in Dynasty?
I just simmed a season with NC State and had the 29th best recruiting class so seemed to be accurate to me. I used the generic level 30 coach though, so curious if the folks getting bad auto-recruiting are creating level 1 coaches.Comment

I do because I don’t use just one team. Right now I’m just going thru each week and switching to whatever teams games I wanna play that week.Comment

Re: Does anyone do auto-recruiting in Dynasty?
I just don't have the time (kids, job, etc...) to do recruiting, so I set my Alabama dynasty to auto-recruit. I knew there were issues when by week 10 or so Georgia had 15 top level recruits signed and I was the only school in the nation with ZERO signed recruits. I went with it for the time being, but at the end of an undefeated national championship season, the computer signed two 4-star players, and two 3-star players. None in a position of need as designated by the game. Plus my star CB transferred because of "playing time" issues...even though he had the most snaps on the team. The game is much improved post patch, but I think I'll wait until the next patch and then restart a dynasty if these things get fixed. Otherwise it was a frustrating yet enjoyable experience for a couple of weeks.Comment

Re: Does anyone do auto-recruiting in Dynasty?
It's hard to enjoy when so much doesn't work correctly and Dynasty is the only mode I care about. First I've heard about the playing time transfer issue, but that's awful. It's like what is even the point of trying to appease them if they leave even when their only desire is fulfilled.
Think that only happens with playing time deal breakers (had the same happen with my starting QB who took basically every snap).
My issue was he wasn’t my highest rated QB, so in his eyes he was gonna be behind a “better” player next year (which is of course asinine since he already beat him for the position this year). I’ve heard in other instances it just looks at the total number of players, and doesn’t seem to care who’s best, just that you have too many at that position (which of course is also asinine if your guy is the best).
It’s clearly a bug.Favorite Teams:
