Bad snaps removed completely was not a goid thing

For years EA told us they would never include bad snaps because the online community wouldn't embrace it.

Well it was in the game doing early access but apparently they EA said it was a mistake or glitch.

But I tracked when it happened and how often it happened doing games. Believe it or not it happened maybe once per game and the situation occurred from my observance when HFA kicked in vs my team or the CPU team.

It felt and looked natural to me and at the time I was like cool they finally got this in the game.

Bad snaps is a part of football and EA removed it and I'm not buying their excuse as to it being a glitch.

I think they put it in intentionally and then removed it based on feedback.

I don't expect it to ever return but come on long snappers and centers do occasionally have bad snaps that might effect the outcome of a game or drive.

This got removed without any out cry even in here at OS

On a more serious note, I played scores of games before the patch and I never saw a bad snap for me or the cpu. The closest I saw was on a draw play or 2, where the QB jumps to catch the snap, but I’m pretty sure that’s the correct animation for the play (since it happens on the same particular play almost every time) and the QB is trying to fool the D into thinking it went over his head.

It was definitely a glitch. There was one running play where it happened just about every single time I ran it. It actually may have been every single time.

If they were going to purposefully add it, it’d be weird for them to pull it right out and just pretend it was a bug. It’s not exactly shocking that many in the online crowd wouldn’t be a fan of that kind of thing. You don’t do it in the first place if some complaints from those players carry enough weight to fully backpedal on it within weeks.

I think it was only 1 play that did it. But also most people that play these games are not football fans on that level, especially with a large contingent of the base being actual children, so bad snaps will never exist in an EA game and by extension long snappers will never matter. I would love for an angel to try to develop a sim game where this sort of thing matters but it never will in an EA game if no one else does it first.

If thats the case, then they need to to take a quick peek at the feedback on player editing.

It was one play. And it was absolutely a glitch. What a weird thing to complain about. Give me a properly implemented bad snap that is based on the centers ratings and composure. Don’t give me a glitch that shoots the ball 30 yards downfield for absolutely no reason.

                Lol

The occurrences I saw was like 3-5 yards off

Never seen one go 30 yards downfield.

But I do agree 100% by now they should have implemented a snap rating for all centers and long snappers.

Well I didn’t take a video, but it was so fast it looked like it basically teleported 15-20 yards downfield. I watched the replays, it was shooting through the QB’s hands downfield in an instant. I dunno how you ever saw it only be 3-5 yards. Every single time it triggered for me it was at minimum 15 yards. And all the videos I’ve seen of it occurring were at least 15-20 yards. And the people reporting it in the bug threads said the same. If it was 3-5 yards, wouldn’t have bothered me nearly as much. That’s reasonable. But that wasn’t what was happening.
