    AA CPU QB Nerfed?

I was enjoying AA level and I have either gotten much better at the game or the CPU QB play has been nerfed considerably as stated in the update patch info.. Every QB is starting to take too long to make a read and just dropping back too far and taking sacks similar to the old issue on previous Maddens. And they are still throwing too many interception on default AA.

I suppose the answer is to move up to Heisman to get the better CPU QB play but I find that the entire CPU teams attributes are boosted.

Personally, I enjoyed the CPU QB play before the patch. There just needed to be more off target throws.

Anyone else seeing these issues after patch?

Didn’t wanna say anything since it was 1 game. Pre-patch I played 6 seasons on AA with my own sliders and had a winning percentage of only 60%. QBs generally completed about 70% against me.

Post-patch I did a play now as Michigan in a neutral site vs NC St (same OVR as Michigan) with the same sliders. I blew them out something like 45-7 and their QB completed 40% against me. Overall it felt much easier than before. I’m definitely gonna have to go back to dialing in my sliders.

I felt the QBs played worse on AA than Varsity pre-patch, I can't imagine what it looks like post patch. Yikes.

Lol I knew my offense had gotten better but I had every defense playing like the 85 Bears post patch. I'm gonna try heisman, default everything except accuracy, interception at 25 for both cpu and human

We will see if I truly have gotten better

Shoot come try heisman difficulty. I just quit a game cause Colorado st was torching my defense in the first quarter (i was the longhorns). Their qb was throwing accurate darts 15-20 yards downfield in tight coverage and their low rated wrs would catch every ball, all while playing in my stadium to and not being affected

Ooh boy, I'm a little concerned about this one. its early yet, but I'm seeing some less than promising results in 3 games. I played with MN on AA default against Oregon twice and then Penn State.

The lob passes are being throw at inappropriate times. It leads to pass breakups largely from receivers getting smoked.

The CPU quarterback is not getting the ball out quickly it seems. I had 5, 6 and 5 sacks in these three games. In games where the game script kept their playcalling run-heavy. They laze around the pocket, don't throw and don't run. Quite a few throw-aways and QB hits leading to short incompletions.

All this is anecdotal as its only three games and I'm obviously alert to any perceived changes because of the patch.. I came here to see if anyone else experienced this. I hope they didn't dial back too much stuff on CPU offense(QB logic maybe?) or dial up too much User defense.

It could very well be that I'm just not that good; but this wasn't my experience as of yesterday. I played against Texas A&M, Maryland, and Iowa State yesterday. The A&M QB was the least productive, but was competent. In one game against Iowa State, their QB completed 80% of his passes and had 4 TD's. The Maryland QB had a good game too just running their offense. I'll keep am eye out as I play more teams later tonight.

Yeah, I hate to be alarmist and I hope I'm wrong. I'll keep playing and see what I see.

Played 2 games last night and I didn't see the QBs being overly bad either. Ball State QB was around 60% on me (I'm Tennessee) and then had a game against UCF and their QB was 68%. I'm definitely not stellar at the game but with the sliders from Armor (I think that's right) they've been good enough to challenge me still.

I haven't noticed that at all. I just had the CPU QB on All-American go 22/25 on me with 4 TDs and like 400 yards. I suck at defense, but that hasn't changed pre/post title update.

definitely not nerfed on my end on aa...they are still accurate(no sliders)

My doubt clearly inspired Dillon Gabriel and a couple other QBs, because shortly after posting on this I got stomped via the air by Gabriel followed by several good to great passing performances.

Glad to see it. That's what I get for falling into the patch reaction trap.

People frequently overreact to a game or two after the patch thinking there's been a huge change in the AI. Usually turns out not to be the case. I don't think the patch notes said anything about changing the CPU QBs, right?

There were a few changes to QBs.

EDIT or maybe a couple, but definitely nonzero.

                              After patch.

West Virginia QB 25-27. I was Penn State.

Probably just a couple bad games.

I mean I don’t know what I’m doing on defense but that was the worst. If I hold QB under 65% it’s a great game
