Before trying these sliders, let me tell you what these sliders are not. These sliders were not created with the intention of reflecting real life college football stats. These sliders were created with the game's sim engine in mind. You will not get realistic season long stats with these sliders. The goal of these sliders is to get season long stats that are comparable to the results from the rest of the simmed games in your dynasty, not real life.
Also, there are some house rules to use with these sliders that are needed for coach mode to be viable, or at least a version of coach mode anyway. These sliders are not perfect. Obviously, if we could do true coach mode that would be preferred. EA didn't give us that option, so we just have to do the best we can with what we've got. If you aren't comfortable using these house rules, feel free to not use them. They are merely suggestions or guidelines. Play how you want. This is how I play and I enjoy it. I just want to share my experience.
Feel free to leave your thoughts about the sliders. Constructive feedback is always appreciated. Disrespectful and unnecessary comments will just be ignored. I have far too many other things to do than engage with that kind of stuff. In general, just be nice.

AUTO SUBS
Possibly the most important part of this set. Set ALL POSITIONS to 80 Sub In and 60 Sub out. If you'll notice, the default auto subs in the main menu are different from the default auto subs inside dynasty. Set them to 80/60 for ALL POSITIONS in both the main menu and inside dynasty.
One exception I make is to the HB position. I have mine set at 95 sub in and 92 sub out. I like the rotations it gives me at running back. This is completely personal preference. Leave it at 80/60 if you want to manually rotate your running backs. Again, if you make this change, change it in both the main menu and inside dynasty.
HOUSE RULES
1. No controlling players. This should be obvious, being that we are playing Coach Mode. Call your plays and make all your adjustments at the line of scrimmage, but no controlling of the players. There are two exceptions. See them listed below:
- Exception 1 – I will scramble my QB manually either straight up the field or at a forward angle towards the sideline. No special moves allowed and only running until tackled, forced to slide, throw the ball away, or run out of bounds. ALL of the following conditions must be met before running:
- All my receivers have completed their routes and are now just running to get open
- The QB is just hanging onto the ball for no apparent reason
- The defense is giving the QB an obvious lane to run with the ball. If the pocket is collapsing on my QB and there’s nowhere to run, I won’t run backwards to get out of the pocket. I just take the sack. Sideways and forward only.
- All my receivers have completed their routes and are now just running to get open
- Exception 2 – I will manually throw the ball on HB Screen plays. Otherwise, it’s essentially an automatic sack. Choose your screen plays wisely though, because the CPU generally plays the screens well. You could still get sacked anyway or they could stuff the RB.
2. On defense, I control a single player and do not switch. The player you choose is up to you. My personal preference is to use a DT. I generally will choose the DT on the same side the cpu RB is lining up, or whichever one is closest to the actual middle of the field if the RB is behind the QB. Occasionally I will use a DE. I no longer hold L1 on my controller until the play has ended. You can hold L1 if you wish, but I feel like it gives my player an advantage over the cpu. That could just be placebo effect. I'm not entirely sure to be honest. My choice is to not hold L1 though.
3. For all read and triple option plays, I use player lock on my RB. Otherwise, the QB never keeps the ball on the read option. For other option plays, he will pitch it and player lock is not necessary. I realize the player lock camera is less than ideal. But it is what it is. Not much we can do about it. Don't use player lock if you don't like the camera.
4. I generally do most of my own special teams plays. I used to slow sim most of them, but got tired of the cpu going for it when I didn't want them to go for it. For really long field goals, I will still slow sim those, especially if I'm fairly confident they won't go for it.
XP Sliders – Feel free to use whatever you'd like.
