Good morning fellow college football nerds.

I would like to provide a Q & A service to the community here that are not able to watch one of the many live streams that will be going on by a few of the dedicated members here at OS.

THIS IS A DYNASTY Q&A, so any questions that don’t have to do with dynasty will not be answered. Depending on how many questions get posted here, I will try to answer as many questions as possible in the order in which they’re asked.

I realize that could become a daunting feat and no good deed goes unpunshihed, but I would hope someone would do this if I was not able to get on the game right at 4pm.

All I ask is please read through this thread if it gets lengthy and make sure your question hasn’t already been answered.

If console related, I can only answer for PS5.


Q: What all can you edit on an auto generated prospect, online vs offline?
A: OFFLINE: number, height, weight, gear. Cannot edit number or ratings

Q: Two player offline dynasty?
A: YES

Q: Can you play non-user games in dynasty? Offline or Online. Coaching switching smoothness? Retiring a coach affect recruiting?
A: No, but you can force wins. Coach switch is done from the dynasty central menu. Retiring a user coach doesn't seem to affect recruiting. No player was in the transfer portal the following offseason.

Q: Does rebuilding PAC-12 cause the playoff format to change, if so, how?
A: Put 10 teams in the Pac-12 and Oregon was able to secure a bye in the CFP

Q: Can you reorder a CPU controlled teams depth chart?
A: NO

Q: Can more than one user play in an offline dynasty game.
A: There are 4 controllers on the play screen.

Q: Is there a speed threshold
A: Yes, it's called Player Speed Parity Scale

Are you doing online or offline dynasty? I only do offline, and I would like to know what editing options are available since there are conflicting reports.

Q: Is there offline dynasty couch coop?

I understand one user from the dynasty deep dive but that's been Madden where you can only have one user on the team online, but can load a second player for each game offline.

Can you confirm we cannot play non-user games in dynasty?

If not..how difficult is it to change to a new team/coach each week?

If you need to retire a coach to switch teams..does the actual coach retire..effecting recruits?

If you rebuild the PAC-12 does the playoff format revert back to a 6+6 model or not?

Can you control computer controlled team depth charts? Nothing worse than seeing 6’6 WR in the Slot & the 5’8 guy at X or Y; not to mention return men who would never return punts/kicks.

Someone posted a screenshot on a discord gives hope for my question about offline dynasty couch coop. Not sure how to link the screenshot but it's of the team select screen with 4 controllers of a YT offline dynasty which is same way we do our couch coop Madden franchises. So much hopium now.

Someone posted a screenshot on a discord gives hope for my question about offline dynasty couch coop. Not sure how to link the screenshot but it's of the team select screen with 4 controllers of a YT offline dynasty which is same way we do our couch coop Madden franchises. So much hopium now.

What is the question? If you can have 4 players playing in one game?

If so, I only have 3 controllers but I assume if you can have 3, you can have 4. However, this would require more than 1 user profile on the PS5. Not sure about Xbox. I only have the one profile, therefore I would not be able to answer this question, unfortunately

So there was a lot of angst on Reddit and discord if that meant couch coop was out or just management of the team was one user.

I could be wrong, but my understanding of that statement in the deep dive was more to say you couldn't have a HC, OC, and DC all be users on one team. Any user would have to have a job at a different school. I didn't take it to mean anything about how many people could actually play in the games.

I’ll check to see if an offline dynasty game has the capability for more than one user to play on the field.
