Ball marker off setting disables the pitching interface !

I am playing 1 vs 1 on local versus my son.
Like every year, I am putting the pitch ball marker off but unfortunately this year with MLB 24, this makes the pitching interface disappear (whatever the pitching interface used: Pulse, analog, etc ...).
This makes the game unplayable one ve one locally.
Anyone facing the same issue ?
