Madden NFL 24 Draft Class Fixes Coming in the Next Title Update

Hey Madden Fans,

We wanted to share some important updates regarding Draft Class issues currently affecting Franchise mode.

You can read previous information here and in our Gridiron Notes from 9/1 for information about the Draft Class issue in Franchise Mode.

Draft Class
We have upcoming fixes for the following Draft Class issues in our next Title Update:
Downloaded Draft Classes: Appearance of players being affected when importing a custom Draft Class.
Auto-Generated Draft Class: Appearance of players being affected when selecting the auto-generated Draft Class option. (e.g. Chunky QBs)

Along with that information, we wanted to provide a quick Q & A to help address additional questions from social and the forums:

Q: My current Franchise has a downloaded draft class, will my downloaded Draft Class in my Franchise be retroactively fixed?
A: Due to this issue being a client side fix, your downloaded Draft Class will not be retroactively fixed.

Q: I selected an auto-generated Draft Class and currently see chunky QBs/thin linemen from that Draft Class, will those players be retroactively fixed?
A: There is a chance these may affect previously generated players that had this issue, but likely this will still not be resolved. However, for newly generated draft classes after the update, this problem should be resolved.

It’s good they at least acknowledged it but like… is that update coming out tomorrow? Next week? 4 weeks from now? Some type of timeline would be appreciated. I know they risk being unable to deliver if they give a date, but their PR on it can’t be much worse than it is anyways, right?

I started mine, but only in year 2 thank god. I got no issue starting over again.

What week do we select auto generated draft class? I just started my new franchise yesterday so I havent even done anything yet and am still in preseason week 1 so worst case if the patch came tomorrow I should be fine and it should fix since I havent even select a draft class type. I also figured worst case scenario I would only have 1 class of players with the glitch cause the next class would be good

This is great. What’s not said that’s an obvious question is whether you can fix the body types of fat QBs yourself once you have the patch added to your franchise, or are you stuck with those guys being wonky forever?

Any insight there would be great.

This is good to see, and hopefully the patch comes soon. I tried to start a franchise with the wonky draft classes but it ruined my immersion. This can’t come soon enough.

It's not a PR issue, it's allowing this in the game in the first place is the issue.

I have never seen a timeline or best guestimate given on any title update from Tiburon

and I doubt I ever will.

If we are in a franchise can we just re-download a new file, will that work or only take affect from season 2?

If it's the same vid I just seen, he also mentions EA are looking into QB accuracy, gotta admit I sure hope they don't go overboard with any adjustments.

Just watched it...

"the inaccurate passes are just a little too high"
"your passes should be accurate way more than they are"
"the case is, no matter even when things are perfect and you have a good QB, the accuracies are still a little wild"

Again, what does feedback like this even mean? It's so generic.

I don't want to single him out specifically because it's not really about him, it's the feedback itself. If there's a legit bug causing issues, then by all means fix it. But when it's stuff like "a little too high", "way more than they are", and "still a little wild"...how is EA or anyone supposed to respond to that? It means nothing.

Two years in a row!

Yeah we're on like 13 years in a row where franchise has major issues at launch with many years requiring a restart to fix. I think the most stable year of franchise at launch might have been 21 because it didn't get anything added to it. I think I also remember 21 also not saving stats for games or something or it would record games as 0-0 ties as well. This isn't a new phenomena for Madden. Just go look at the bug list at launch for Madden on here for each year and it's full of game breaking or franchise ruining bugs.
