UFC 5 will be available worldwide on October 27th, 2023 featuring Israel Adesanya, Valentina Shevchenko, and Alex Volkanovski as your global cover athletes.

Powered by Frostbite, EA SPORTS UFC 5 is the next evolution of the fight game. From unrivalled graphics upgrades to all-new damage systems and doctor stoppages that affect gameplay in truly authentic fashion — this is as real as it gets.

The all-new Real Impact System brings the intensity and strategy of a fight to life, as cuts and strikes absorbed can affect mobility, defense, stamina, and more. Take too much damage, and the doctor could stop the fight. For lovers of the ground game, Seamless Submissions makes grappling feel more fluid and realistic than ever before.

And if you like to admire your handiwork, new Cinematic K.O. Replays capture your fight-ending finishes in all their punishing glory. UFC 5 updates with fresh new Fight Week content, features, and challenges every single month around real-world UFC events. Plus, Alter Egos offer new versions of your favorite fighters to play with every month. Bring the next evolution of the fight game home with UFC 5.

All this wait for a 2 minute cinematic trailer which at the end tells you to wait yet again for a gameplay trailer?

Is there new and improved offline career mode ? If not then why it taking 3 years to develop and release it?

they've seen the feedback from the last game about the silly blood splatter, cartoonish style, silly caf skins and are now going for this 'AS REAL AS IT GETS' gimmick. the sad thing is it'll probably work and some people will look at that trailer and be sold on that basis.

the graphics look a lot better though which I like. the attention to detail with the walkouts and the fighters waiting in the cage looked quite cool. Izzy looked like Izzy. even his facial expressions while staring down and stuff. Cool.

                No real gameplay though.

But yeah, i think this game is going to have many of the flaws that UFC 4 had still. EA are focusing much more on aesthetic than the actual gameplay and things that really matter it seems. I expect a few good changes but not enough in the time they've had. can't be worse than the sequel that 4 was though lol. But we'll see how things evolve from here. I hope i'm wrong and there are many gameplay related improvements.

With the rating being M I wonder if a Chris Weidman or Anderson Silva leg break can happen

EA do not care about MMA. These developers do not care about MMA. This is unfortunately what we get when a giant marketing machine like EA get ahold of the sport we love.

Cinematic KO's is listed as one of like the 3 big changes? fighters showing more bruising and cuts is a big change? what about fighter individuality and the actual gameplay man? the submission change sounds cool but that seems like the only thing that is going to make over 3 years of development time make much sense.

                    Oh well.

Not to be a downer, but it’s kinda crazy they’re emphasizing cuts and doctor stoppages so much when Fight Night did it 12 years ago on the Xbox 360.

It's EA they do this all the time they get rid of features in one game and readd them in a later game and sell it as a new feature when it really it is not. A good example of this is the nhl franchise, NHL 06 had sklii moves like the between the legs shot it was removed and re added in last years game or the year before i cant quite remember whhen the re added it

I bet ea ufc5 will be the same gameplay as ufc4 with new graphic engine.
There won't even be a cage walk.
The career mode is suck again. (no actual weight inn.)
I can't believe Doctor thing and Cinematic replay was priority for them instead of ground and clinch game.

nobody likes to be negative but EA aren't making it easy. i also like to keep things positive but you have to be critical where necessary and it's just necessary here.

the game isn't out yet but if there were more big changes to gameplay or fighter individuality we would have heard about them by now.

i'll buy the game though because I have the money and am a giant fan of mma and i like games. Idk if ill get it on release though. The pricing seems insane and they don't deserve that amount of money for the product that is likely coming our way.
