These bat sounds….

First - 23 is the best show I’ve played and I’ve been playing the show since 06. Much more fluid experience and, on the series x, it looks amazing.

However, these bats sounds are horrific. There were better bat sounds in FPS baseball back in the 90s! What were they thinking… all bat/ball contact sounds like a fouled tip.

The MLB experience is unique partly due to “the crack of the bat”. The distinct sound of wood hitting hard leather. Very unique and loud.

Certainly hope they address the muted bat sounds or overhaul the bat sounds all together. I hit an HR over 450 in battle royale and it sounded as if it was a foul tip…MLB doesn’t sound like that. When someone hits a home run, everyone in the stadium can hear the sound of the bat/ball contact.

I agree with this take. The crack of the bat sounds better than the tech test, but is still off.

Seems like certain balls hit are programmed wrong for contact. Agree, maybe a patch can fix this.

Other than that the game is really good and immersive.

I do as well. It seems as though there are maybe 4-5 different sounds this year as opposed to maybe 2 sounds the previous years.

And I like that the sounds vary depending on timing and where contact is made on the bat.

Some just seem off from time to time. So I agree with the OP.

i love the bat sounds it has a good difference between a well good hit and a blooper. its like you know when you hit that hr u hear that pop

I'm going to be that guy who says I love some of the bat sounds, but every so often there is a bat sound that sounds a little wonky.

There are definitely some hollow sounding ones that are jarring. I do love the sound when you really connect. Hopefully they can correct the others.

Perfect perfect sounded better on 21 than 22 or 23 using Sony 3d pulse wireless headset. To me anyway.

....are making me thirsty..

The last 3 or 4 years they always sound peculiar to me until I've had a chance to play about 50 games.
Then my hearing adjusts, and they sound right as rain again. and then next spring I'll repeat the cycle all over again lol

You might be right… maybe there will be an adjustment of my ears. However, hitting home runs sounds like foul tips. Just doesn’t reward me with that beautiful sound.

Ha...I've heard about 10 different bat sounds so far in this game, which is more realistic. I use bose ear buds. The sounds are awesome. The only sound to me that might sound a little off is the perfect perfect. But even the perfect perfect is not the exact same sound each time.

I am pleased with the sounds. Also...there are sound differences between PS4 version and PS5 version. I have found that the sounds (not just bat sounds) on PS4 are better IMO.

You may want to disable the 3D audio option on your PS5 and see if that makes a difference for you.
