Good read, I actually randomly found FIFA 14 Brazil for 10 cents a couple years ago at a Walmart and liked the way it still played. I must say, my favorite World Cup game is 2010 South Africa. That game and that World Cup is what actually got me interested in the sport, "Wave Your Flag" playing in the background never got old and it was fully loaded with qualifying and captain your country as well. It's a shame it's transitioned into what it is now, ultimate team has really killed EA's ambitions for offline modes in all their games.

Captain Your Country in 2014 was such a fantastic mode. Could have up to 3 on a team, played that with my college roommates - good times leading random teams to World Cup glory back then

who would have thought fifa 10 south africa and fifa 14 brazil would be the pinnacle of fifa world cup, but that seems to be the case. EA should have gone all out on this iteration since it was will probably be the last world cup they'll have for quite some time. but we get a pretty lazy offering (2 stadiums?) (roster issues) however, they will never neglect ultimate team....smh.

What happened? They cant nickel and dime you, and the mode brings in no money so it is basically a piece of trash. You're welcome.

One minor correction- EA did release a stand-alone WC game in 2002 for the PS2 & XBox, and it was a damn good game.
