New season starts tonight.

Castaways this season have seen the changes to 41 and I think some of 42 as well, so will be interesting to see how it plays out.

I came in here to comment about the guy who is going on about how salespeople are dangerous and you need to watch out for them and vote them out.

I opened this thread to post, saw your post saying Cody annoys you, I look up on my screen to see the name of the guy I was gonna post about, and it's Cody.

Like, if a salesperson is now considered a threatening job in the world of Survivor, what is safe? You can make negative/dangerous stereotypes about basically any profession as it relates to Survivor.

Imagine that "Am I a salesperson? NO! I fix elevators! Nobody can ever know my true secret!"

Stereotypes exist because there are some truth to them. It is something to keep in the back of your mind but truly shouldn't matter in a game where you don't know what is true or not.

The stereotype fits him perfectly for a used car salesman. He seems like he is going to get himself in trouble talking too much and spinning too many lies and will be caught in them.

The woman hasn't shown if she fits the stereotype or not but time will tell.

This weeks episode is 90 minutes. Not sure why, especially following up the 2 hour premiere. Guess we'll find out why (or maybe the "next time on survivor" reveals a bit, but I try nowadays to not watch that)

The Amazing Race is an hour and a half too. It's just to fill the time slot for this week only. Next week and onwards, The Real Love Boat is in the timeslot between Survivor and TAR.

Not that I thought she was doing well in the game, but I liked Justine. She gave me Jessica Alba vibes.

I feel like Cody MIGHT grow on me. He seems like a less crazy version of Shane (from Panama).

Yeah he was way more likeable this episode

They wanted you to wonder if he had his vote or not

I'm not sure how these people didn't question it though. He had to cut the off the bags. It also doesn't appear that they put them on their own bags. How did they not think this may be needed for something or this could be an idol?

They then basically just made the others follow suit.

Easy for people at home to say that, but it really could have just been meaningless beads, or so you would think.

Same with a few seasons back, people laughed at Adam for thinking there was an idol on Jeff's podium. He wasn't far off his thinking in hindsight.

there's too many superfans playing to not question it, plus the young woman with one leg wanted to keep her beads for sentimental reasons, something happened


edit: to be more clear, I was more interested in HOW he did/didn't get the bead, as opposed to a reveal of whether he got it or not. The process was the point

Yall had my exact train of thought on Cody. I hated him instantly, but he has grown on me. It would have been great though if Noelle figured out it was part of a twist and she didn't give it to him and called him out on it in tribal, oh well.

It would be funny, but also puts an immediate target on themselves.

One of the little things which S43 has changed up. It's similar twists, but different ways to go about it.

That's one major problem I have with Survivor and Big Brother. Each season follows a similar "script" in the sense that you know to expect certain kinds of twists, what certain points of the game will lead to and so on. Sometimes the smallest change leads to the game becoming unpredictable in a good way.
