Problems with defensive settings

Help defense is much improved but alot of the defensive settings don't work.

1. Pre-rotate doesn't change when switched from off to on. No one rotates over before the drive.

2. The off ball gap, leave them, and moderate settings are all the same. Defenders are still guarding non shooters out to the 3 point line even when their off ball defensive setting is set to gap or eave them.

This greatly hurts the realism of the game because the help defenders are constantly out of position guarding mon shooters.

Anyone getting these options to trigger?

Have you played with your team help slider Rob?

From yesterday Vann told it's at 0 and Czar told, it should be 50. Maybe 50 is something more natural and can help with pre rotate and some other stuff.. Just my 2 cents to give it a try. Maybe.

The help defense is excellent. That is what the help defense sliders does. I am more talking about defensive positioning before a drive which is what i though the off ball defensive settings are supposed to cover

Yea I know it is which is awesome but what i mean is maybe the configuration of help slider trigger each other and Czar talked about this so maybe that setting in a way help trigger a setting in those modeifications you want, what i meant.

I set my left bumper to help rather than double team. It works well.

They said last year that many of the options in the coach settings weren’t actually in the game but they didn’t have time to go through and do a new menu. Are we in this boat all over again?

I'm pretty sure there is a difference between leave/gap and moderate. Leave and gap may be close but usually there is at least a 4-5 foot difference between moderate and leave. I will need to check but that doesn't sound right off top unless there is a bug. I will admit leave may not be as far as you want it.

Is this just for next gen or is it for current (specifically PC) as well?

so basically nothing changed compared to 2k22? it was the same there, too.




question: is the cut help rules setting not there for old gen (pc)? i cannot seem to find it.

Bug (Be Specific): when setting plays in offensive settings, 1 it doubles for the bench & #2 it reverts back to the old quick plays. Also when subbing some players aren't showing up & sometimes when trying to sub the center
the a button above him disappears in a time out & on the fly coaching

Can you reproduce it? Yes How?: Every time you edit your lineup. THis happens to me also

The defensive parameters do not change anything? The offensive parameters too! Is it a 2k placebo?
The parameters are more buggy than last year. Even when you disable ACE you can't choose your offensive strategy. You can't even choose a tactic in the playbook in a match.

There are some nice improvements this year, but these flaws are unforgivable for me. I am terribly disappointed

Could be user error on my end -I haven’t kept up in last few years with all the details-
Can defensive settings be saved outside of each game?
They keep getting reset to automatic during games as well, so I am constantly resetting them at timeouts
ACE is off if that matters
Xbox series x version
Same issue in all era Modes so far
