To fix the game from corner backs catching like Randy Moss…. Before each game you play whatever team you are facing you have to lower each defensive back & linebacker CATCH, CATCH IN TRAFFIC, & SPECTACULAR CATCH negative (-)15 each …. It sucks we have to do that for a playable game but yes since I changed it the coverage is WAY more REALISTIC because cornerbacks are HUMAN again & have to DEFEND more instead of interceptions every time. It also triggers better animations because now CPU can’t jump every pass so you can pass more free but they still will pick you off if the pass is just horrible but lmk how it test out with you . I recommend doing this before each team you face if your on franchisee instead of doing all the teams at once .

Less interceptions in game. Only lock down corners & X factors will make an amazing pick . But as far as simulation NO .. it doesn’t affect their performance/stats

You’re probably still going to want to be reversing it after each game though as you go along, or else you’ll throw things off when EA patches it.Comment

I don't really think it's funny. I can see how the title can be misleading. The first thing I thought was did they patch it?
And this is a lot of work to do. Then if/when EA does patch this, you have to go back and change everything back again. I understand why a lot of people wouldn't want to do this.Comment

Couldn't you just turn The cpu interception slider down or is it not working this year? Haven't got the game yet but I have read a lot about the issue.

I tried this for a couple games. Honestly not seeing that much of a difference personally. However, while doing the edits, I did notice that there are a lot of db's that have what I would consider to be excessively high catch ratings and catch in traffic. It started making me wonder if the catching slider is helping these guys. I didn't test that so that's pure speculating there.Comment

My comments are specifically related to ONLINE PLAY...
The patch needs to address not so much the actual JUMPING of the route but more-so the OUTCOME of when a defender jumps the Route...as it stands now there are clearly too many cpu JUMPED ROUTES that result in interceptions when the same action (i.e route jumping) can and should result in more diverse outcomes such as:
a. pass deflections
b. pass breakups
c. dropped ints
d. hits that cause the ball to dislodge
imo they should balance the outcomes because most average Madden players can get USER interceptions at a decent clip that does not require the cpu to Jump routes multiple times a game that result in the worst case scenario...which is an int. Just because a user throws an errant pass it does not always result in an interception...Balance is the keyComment

agreed...it needs to be patched...For example in my online games I have seen very few "punch outs" that result in a fumble...which I believe is a decent representation of how often that action occurs realistically...They need to do the same thing with the CPU Jumped Routes. Diversify the outcomes and the game would be better for it imoComment

Cpu interception slider @ 1 as well . I still throw 2-3 picks
