The next installment in the Hot Shots Golf franchise will be titled Everybody's Golf, coming to PlayStation 4 for $39.99 on August 29. Check out the announcement trailer here. The team will be conducting a Closed Online Test towards the end of May.

Anybody can play golf with basically only three button clicks. Now you can experience golf with a variety of character customizations, fishing, and karting across the courses. You can develop your skills with the challenge mode and compete with other players globally through the online mode.

What type of golfer are you? A casual weekend golfer? A semi-pro? Maybe you’re one of those golfers who spends more time picking out your outfit than you spend practicing your swing? Or maybe you’re not a golfer at all, but you’ve been playing Hot Shots Golf for years!

So they're finally going to call it by its long-standing Japanese title eh? Though I'm even more surprised we're getting it at the same time they are - actually before them, somehow (by a couple of days).

Wonder why it's only $40. I have a feeling DLC may be a pretty big part of this as it's been creeping into Hot Shots in the last few games.

First day buy regardless, plus I'll make every effort to get into the beta.

I am surprised with the extremely long development time it will be only be 40 dollars- but yes I have to think the planned DLC content has a lot to do with it,

Expect something that looks like an arcade golf game on the surface, but is actually very realistic physics-wise and will require a lot of shot planning and good execution to score well (at least on the later/harder courses).

It's a really well-done mix of sim and arcade that's kept me and lot of others on this board playing this series for a long time.

Yeah, this was the first that jumped out to me.

Then again, Rocket League is an incredibly fun game and it was only $20. Maybe Sony will partner this game with PS+ (here's to hoping!).

Well yes except if past games hold true there will be more content, courses etc. Nothing against super mega baseball but they have a bit bigger budget to work with with this series.

I was thinking more about the fun factor for me.
I love both baseball and golf. but the hotshots series always was fun. I would play that over any golf game.

same with super mega baseball. I play that over mlb the show.
