NBA 2K17 Momentous Trailer

The trailer was good but I would of preferred more "sizzle". I would of preferred to see some ankles getting broke, new dunk, size up, defense and lay up animations.

My favs are the 2k11 trailer that ended with the MJ rocking the cradle dunk and the Victory Trailer...

Usually 2k trailers get me hype for the game but huge Eh, for next gen I'm not sure how they progression backwards instead of forward.

Classic as usual but man MO always had a "Lebron scoring on the Spurs" fetish. Every trailer Ive seen that's he has made has Lebron scoring on my spurs. Even before the 2k job he was doing that junk. We are 2-1 vs him in the finals Mo show us some respect.

I was literally talking about him in another thread yesterday and how much I loved his "Kobe Doin Work" 2K11 videos (I'm sure it's the same guy, went by IsoAcheived on YouTube)...

This is cool I guess.

I'm just kind of burnt out on how they market this game and just want my copy in my hands at this point.

There isn't anything that can move me at this point except actually playing the game.

Tomorrow can't come soon enough.

I'm with you man. I was watching the live streams yesterday and i was thinking to myself "what do I expect to see that will get me anymore excited for the game?" I actually started to get less interested because after a while there a sense of "its just another 2k game."

After watching some leaked gameplay and playing the prelude I feel like I've seen all I need to see.

Man, 2k needs to patch our KNICKS jerseys.. that is not even BLUE anymore lol, it looks purple! I'll be playing with throw-backs or the white ones I guess.

The Knicks jersey never been the right shade of blue on 2k for almost a decade now. I just don't think the art team is good with the color blue smh.

No ****ing way. Looking at the history of OS if anything it will be worse. Much worse. Once people have the game, there is more stuff to examine, legitimately complain about and/or nitpick.

Thursday-Friday 80-90% of the people will be praising the game.

Saturday through Friday: That number will drop as people will dig into the game and the backlash will appear.

2 weeks from now: The backlash to the backlash will occur and the forums will level off.

And this people, is why you should avoid parts of OS until next 2K pre-release as soon as you get the game haha.

Or you'll only play it for 1 week (pretty much happened for me and 2K13).

Regarding the trailer, I liked it. I think the feeling most people have is been there done that.

They've seen Momentous trailers before. He's been doing them for 5 (?) plus years officially for 2k. Its clear from the vids that the game is improved but it doesnt jump out at you as being SIGNIFICANTLY different than past years.

Thats the cost of consistently putting out a good game. The ceiling keeps getting raised.

True but like I stated before OS isnt the only audience some of this stuff was made for...i'm sure later on today when my nephew gets home from school he's gonna text me in excitement asking me have I seen the new 2k trailer lol...I just see it in a different light cause it reminds me of when I was a kid and a new game was coming out ...yup i've seen more exciting trailers from MO but its not THAT BAD...I think folks are just ready to get their hands on the game lol

Lmao nailed it man. There is an endless cycle with this game that happens every year and those of us that have been here long enough are use to it.

There's the late july/august complaints of "where is the info? Why is 2k taking so long? This is just going to be a glorified roster update, nba 2k16.5."
The first big official news drop comes and people go crazy (mikes gameplay blog for example). "Omg 2k went all out this year! Look at all those improvements! I'm sorry for doubting you."
There are the prerelease complaints and concerns mixed in there and then we reach release date.

I always end up retreating from the boards shortly after release date because the impressions go from one extreme to the other. Impressions will go from "this is by far the best basketball sim of all time!" To "omg 2k this game is broken! They completely dropped the ball this year! Biggest flop ever!"

LOL. This is so true.

My enjoyment factor was so high last year when I ignored this forum after release. When I came back around a month ago, I didnt recognize 3/4ths of the problems that people were talking about. Why?

Because I dont notice most of the "minor" issues with the game. I had no idea that Dwight Howard had fat legs in the game until a month ago and I probably played with and against Howard 20-25 times last year. I promise you I wouldnt have noticed Wiggins arms if it wasnt for this thread.

Those things dont stand out for you when you are playing broadcast mode. Even if I noticed something like that my response was typically "Player X's cyberface looks off...oh well".

Dont get me wrong. I love OS. So much so that I think Steve should give me a cut of its profits. But I've found that my enjoyment increases the less I'm here after release. I'm playing Madden now and while I'm sure there are major issues with the game that I'm not aware of, I'm loving the game because i have no idea about them.

Amen. It's always reminded me of that "glass shattering" joke in How I Met Your Mother. Once you know, you can't "un-know" haha.

Also love OS, but just find that in order to maximize the experience (that we painstakingly await with such graceful patience) you have to just find out the flaws at your own pace.

2K16 lasted a bit longer for me in doing this.

Of course, there's a flip side. 2K15 was dead in the water for me once and some nice constructive threads re-invigorated it for me. But even a thread name can make you notice something negative haha.
