No ****ing way. Looking at the history of OS if anything it will be worse. Much worse. Once people have the game, there is more stuff to examine, legitimately complain about and/or nitpick.

Thursday-Friday 80-90% of the people will be praising the game.

Saturday through Friday: That number will drop as people will dig into the game and the backlash will appear.

2 weeks from now: The backlash to the backlash will occur and the forums will level off.

NBA 2K17 Momentous Trailer

For those saying they really liked the ring ceremony, must of not played with the Warriors last year because they had a ring and banner ceremony for them in 2K16..so not really something new.

Overall I'm juiced for the game to come out but this didn't add any type of excitement.

With fully realizing that there are issues with player models in lack of muscle definition and a few other things, I'm not letting it deterrent me from enjoying the game.

Good trailer though.

It really comes down to a lack of muscle definition. I don't think he needs to be much bigger he just needs to be more tone.They really need a happy medium between skinny and thick.

This is just speculation but my guess is that they changed the formula for how they assign body types this year resulting in a lot of skinny looking players. When creating a my player is seems like the big areas for a body are height, weight, and wings span. My guess is that this skinny body type is being assigned do to players that are under a certain weight in combination with their height. I also thing longer wingspan play a role as well.

Regarding the trailer, I liked it. I think the feeling most people have is been there done that.

They've seen Momentous trailers before. He's been doing them for 5 (?) plus years officially for 2k. Its clear from the vids that the game is improved but it doesnt jump out at you as being SIGNIFICANTLY different than past years.

Thats the cost of consistently putting out a good game. The ceiling keeps getting raised.

I was planning on leaving these parts when the game actually dropped....but I thought maybe things would be a little better this time with the clean up....probably fooling myself still hanging on to those golden 2k forum years, lol

I'm hopeful that the 2K team will hear the concerns regarding the body types at least. Maybe even update them via a patch. Like I said, I'm hopeful.

naaah no bad run ins here, im not an arguer. im cool with 2 ppl disagreeing and moving on - but i did always think it was funny we had similar names.

i havent been on OS as long as you (16yrs? going for that pension!!) , but i was a lurker for YEARS before i starting posting.

1 of only 2 gaming forums i belong too! love this place, good, great, bad and ugly

OT - i think we're all a bit spoiled that these trailers dont do as much anymore. we know what 2k will look like because of the prelude - now we all just wanna dig into whatever modes we wanna play. just my take

Trailer was ok. I still gotta say and some might not agree but the best Momentous trailer possibly ever in terms of hype and just wow I'm working overtime for a month to get that PS4/XB1 has to go to 2k14. That trailer was bonkers. With that being said I think most of us are like been there done that. Nothing really stood out too much. I did like the ring ceremony portion at the beginning but overall it just seems like something is missing this year. I was hoping to see different crowd lighting. Especially at the staples center. Oh well. Regardless I'm still getting it on Friday.

Hard to compare any trailer to that 2k14 one because the graphical leap was awe inspiring. I remember watching the 2k14 trailers over and over and over again because I was so impressed. They could have released a trailer comprised screenshots that year and people still would have been blown away.

I do agree on arena lighting. I'm hoping there is no hesitation from the 2k art team to release a patch addressing visual fixes (body types, jersey colors, court colors, arena lighting, etc). I have no doubt the game will be great but improvements in the areas could make the product that much better.
