Re: NHL 17 Patch Available Now, Here Are the Details

Just looked thru the new masks they added on youtube.. holy crap! They are WAY better, very crisp and not too fake looking! My Leafs got some love so I'm happy. The Avalanche is one of the team that needs overhaul big time, so plain. The Bruins and the Caps finally got some love Eventhough it's only one mask instead of 2 but it's better than nothing.

I've been using those same ones forever. So annoying too.

My bad. The original install did not have the update. It must have installed overnight although I don't think XB1 S has standby mode like PS4?

On Xbox One you actually need to go into the console settings to turn off sleep, so unless you did that then it's always sleeping.

10 years ago you would have been in the "The goalies are terrible, come on EA update your game!" crowd.

Wow. The new masks added in the patch are great. I hope the handful of teams that didn't get any love do in a future patch.

Check them out here

Happy with the patch. Feeling much more like the beta and much more like its own game, separating itself for 16'.

The subtle puck bounces and blue-line play are small yet so significant in improving the overall gameplay and general flow of the game.

I can't believe the commentary has actually gotten worse! Thankfully, I've muted the commentary completely for the last few years, but man, I didn't think it was possible. Its just so forced and robotic.

The ice and stadium sounds are well done IMO I feel like I get that "at the rink" feel. The crowd could be more emotional, especially at certain times but overall its good.
