Re: NBA 2K17 Features Improvements Across The Board, Here's 75 of Them
Bottom line is, art (and art accuracy) is at the bottom of 2K's priority list.
This year it looks like they took out muscle tone in players arms. Why?
Look at Madden. They have all different size body types. The arms have nice definition. And there's a LOT more going on during gameplay than in NBA 2K.
I'm tired of excuses.Comment

Re: NBA 2K17 Features Improvements Across The Board, Here's 75 of Them
Not sure I have a ton to contribute to the conversation right now other than to say that virtually all the MyLeague additions sound really, really awesome. I was going to keep tabs on which ones stuck out to me most but as I read, I realized I liked everything. Dynamic rules and dynamic expansion were particularly intriguing, as I'd never even brainstormed such possibilities before.
In other categories, I really liked the sound of the shoe game, especially the inclusion of Pennys and Shaqs, both of which make me wonder what other old school shoes may have made the cut (not holding my breath though).
Also loved the idea of custom audio. Of course, the real question will be whether those effects kick in at the right moments or whether the weird glitches remain (i.e. a home team dunk leading to silence in the midst of a big run).
Lastly, I wasn't really excited about the idea of multiple commentary teams when it was announced the other day (seemed a bit excessive to have multiple national broadcast teams) but I admit today that I began coming around. It should keep the game pretty fresh, no?
I will say, I wish I could have read about some classic team news, but I wasn't holding my breath on that either. I'd love new teams, though I'm actually super pleased to have as many as we do. More than anything else, I wish those teams could be properly authenticated (better faces, more signature moves, dunks, dribbles, layups, etc.).Comment

Ton of great news and a lot to be excited about. One thing we haven't heard about is the magnetic/warping/telepathic AI defense that made it near impossible to beat the defender off the dribble...
Really looking forward to the developer blogs. I hope this is a point of emphasis.Comment

Past 2K allowed us to add/remove headbands.

I'll say this though, come next year they shouldnt have any excuses on the art side. I'm not expecting all of these new features to work to perfection so next year I'd be fine if they just further refine these features and then shift focus on nailing the art side of things.Comment

Re: NBA 2K17 Features Improvements Across The Board, Here's 75 of Them
I love all that there saying, if it all works right. I wish Erick Boenisch would have said that they worked on getting simulation stats right, so you MyLeague/GM/ and even your MyPlayer for that matter, didnt have screwed up league stats. Some of this has to do with very poorly done tendencies for players, and if the guy who does ratings/tendencies for them was more accurate the stats would be closer to accurate, as the roster editors found out here. But some of it is just a issue that has to be fixed under the hood by the devs. I know Erick has a passion for those Association modes, you can tell by listening to him talk, so I hope he look into this issue thats been there for every, last year was improved, but still needs work to be right.Everyone who exalts themselves will be humbled, and he who humbles himself will be exalted- Luke14-11

For one, Madden only has like 5 -10 canned body types that they use for all players. Two most players in the NBA are not muscular cut plus the 2K team does body scans of a lot of the players, does Madden do body scans? Three, you wanna talk about removal of headbands when Madden does not even have mouth pieces in the game! Four don't ever compare an inferior piece of software such as Madden to NBA 2K.Last edited by Americas Team; 08-31-2016, 07:04 PM.Xbox Series X: KILLMUNGERComment

And, that's just not true. They talked about it last year, and it was either a lie, or it failed miserably. It's quite obvious to anybody who has a set of working eyes.Comment
