Re: Get a Head Start on Your NBA 2K17 MyCAREER on September 9 with The Prelude
You know what would be interesting with how each myplayer is more of a specialist than in previous 2ks is having subbing available in proam games. Say you have 2 sfs, 1 is a sharpshooter and you have another that specializes in defense and during timeouts you can sub your sharpshooter sf and bring in your defensive sf maybe due to needing defense at the time or because your shooter needs rest.
This would work like all star teamup I guess. Just a thought, would make proam more realistic and of course mean more use of your multiple myplayers and of course it doesn't have to be the same position, maybe you and a buddy want to change positions or whatever. This all hinges on what improvements they made to proam of course.Comment

Originally posted by LO6IXAre these caps going to at least allow us to make players like Melo, PG, Kyrie, CP3, Lillard, Kawhi, Harden? I do not want to grind for VC to make another rich man's Nic Batum. I'm probably in the minority here who doesn't want to make a role player.
Nope. I agree you should be able to make anything you want, but not for pro-am or park. I run a 6'6 inside SG. Am bad at post play, alright at rebounds, and my 3's are suspect.
Technically, that makes me a role player. But, It's how you use the guy that matters. I use the rebounding I upped to crash hard when running the 2. I take only wide open or "Have to shoot" 3's and end up at 30 to 50% from the floor. I can still outsmart guys in the pist, I just have to be careful.
So yeah, You can probably make harden, but he's probably going to suck defensively like he does in real life. You might be able to make Kyrie, but Kyrie isn't good at everything, he's good at a few things, average at others. Untill last year, Kawhi had a suspect jumpshot. LeBron is arguably the best player on the planet, and I'd hand him a 17 foot jumper all day because it's suspect. Even Micheal Jordan wasn't the best 3pt shooter. Everyone has a weakness. Weaknesses do not make you a role player. There's a differenceFemale Russell Westbrook.

Re: Get a Head Start on Your NBA 2K17 MyCAREER on September 9 with The Prelude
What I like is that this fundamentally changes how Pro-Am teams are built, we might see some teams full of lockdown defenders trying to win games by keeping the scores low, or a high powered offensive teams that can't defend but have shooters. This is going to lead to more variety, especially if weight actually does affect the ratings.Comment

Re: Get a Head Start on Your NBA 2K17 MyCAREER on September 9 with The Prelude
According to Ronnie2K, For those who dont play the prelude will still get the full My career experience. All the prelude is to get the college part out the way before the official game comes out so that when you get the official game, you start immediately in the NBA.
Other than the face scan (Which i dont know why isn't going to work for PC when the face scan is all server side as far as downloading your scans to the game works) and the Prelude (Week long demo- doesn't make sense to bring to PC when you might need to optimized and release patches for, too much work for 1 week) The PC version will be the same version as consoles. We just wont be able to get that head start with the prelude and face scanmy youtube channel: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCgI...bK1eShv_ZnakVgComment

Re: Get a Head Start on Your NBA 2K17 MyCAREER on September 9 with The Prelude
Think of the prelude as the first chapter in the book that you can download for free (that's exclusive to Apple books)
Everyone that uses Kindle (PC) app still get the full book on release day just apple books (consoles) gets the first chapter for free
I also like to point out that 2k also brought face scan to PC last year partnering up with Intel. Did we ever find out the details to that deal because I wouldn't be surprised if Intel had some sort of 1 year exclusive deal regarding face scans on pc

...I don't want to make a role player, but in reality every person you listed has a glaring weakness. Does the fact that they are bad in 1 or 2 areas make them a role player?

Re: Get a Head Start on Your NBA 2K17 MyCAREER on September 9 with The Prelude
people actually play my park? I've tried a couple of times and all I saw were people standing or running around with open slots on courts. I didn't understand while there were open slots but nobody would playComment

Re: Get a Head Start on Your NBA 2K17 MyCAREER on September 9 with The Prelude
If you're talking about Sunset, it's mainly because a lot of Park players seem to be afraid of the 4v4 court (same as 5v5 in 2k14). People can give as many excuses as they want, but it boils down to the fact that they can't maneuver as freely and superspam like they can on 2v2 and 3v3 courts, so they don't want to play on courts with more people.
At least, that's what I've seen.
And they don't like sharing the ball if that extra personComment
