I'm probably in a minority here, but I have no interest in college ball; I'm in the UK so that's never been a part of my nba viewing. I have multiple careers going, so I just want to get started without all the extra games before I even get to the league.

I also accept that it's a big thing to you guys across the pond so I have to suck it up, but an option to skip that and be the auto 60th pick is something I'd like. Unless you can permanently increase some of the bucket levels by doing well in the combine, then I'll enjoy it first play through, and mostly foul out on all my other careers.

I get they need a name to insert but it's no different from programming it to say our real names like in-game but I imagine this would mess with the smoothness of the cut scenes

There are nicknames already in game. Maybe they could do it where they at least say those. It's better than nothing or being stuck with a name you completely hate. I look at it as an NBA: The Life type deal. Not necessarily "my career". Though I get why people feel the way they do.

I know Ronnie said that weight matters this year but it's bizarre they didn't show that in the video. They could have easily answered a question people had. Why not prove it in the video?

Because weight doesn't matter. Ronnie is in the dark like the rest of us lol. Hope I'm wrong and we do get to recreate a Shaq like player....

How would you recommend they have a story mode where the person's name is never ever said out loud?

How about some actually good nicknames instead? Something that someone that isn't 14 would use in real life.

2K strikes again, they are so far ahead of other sports games that it is getting silly... my ONLY knock is that you can't wear #17 in college, all digits are 1-5... well that and my alma mater Ohio State isn't one of the teams, but I'm guessing that's on the school.

Not sure why I hadn't pre-ordered this yet, just I'll fix that now.

That's an NCAA rule. And the NCAA itself isn't involved here.

Besides, by making every single college teammate (with the exception of those drafted that real-life year, thus being part of the NBA union) wear a jersey number with a 6, 7, 8 or 9, they can avoid accusations of "See?! SEE?! They're making real-life college players without permission! GET THE LAWYERS!"

That's what killed EA's NCAA Football series: the lawyers.

They're just avoiding potential legal trouble, that's all. I don't blame them here.

I'm curious to see how much the weight/strength attribute will play a factor this year. Will heavier and stronger guys really be able to dominate smaller players? I created a 6"10 SF this year and played C for my pro-am team. Most games, I was able to guard the big guys with no problem.
