I just hope defense is more organic because I thought it was somewhat overpowered and fake. Too magnetic, with slow and floaty offensive animation to create seperation. I hope that a guy just standing there and not getting his arms up isn't considered good defense especially against a good player. I hope they brought back some excitement to the offensive side.

Better help defense.. for real this time? Lol
Hopefully when he says that teammates left their assignments, it wasn't one pass away and/or somebody rotated over to the guy that was left.Comment

Awesome! I'll give the new controls a whirl but it's good to know that I can always fall back if I'm not feeling it.Comment

So can we also still use that for lay ups or do we need to use the analog sticks now? I usually shoot/layup/dunk with the Square button unless it's a fast break and I want a special dunk. If not then I guess I just have to change up how I play.

Hopefully the focus on control was maintained when developing these things...Comment

was just about to say this. if they are trying to implement better overall gameplay mechanics....but trying to reach the release date as well, some stuff is gonna get lost in the fray. the first couple of patches would be needed to see where these implementations truly lay in regards to fluidityComment

This applies to passes, too. Jones acknowledged that throwing the ball willy-nilly into the key was almost a "money" play last year. In about half an hour playing NBA 2K17, I saw multiple passes to the paint get deflected and even picked off. The ball just felt more live, whether on passes, steals or rebounds.Comment

"In about half an hour playing NBA 2K17, I saw multiple passes to the paint get deflected and even picked off."
"The new system in NBA 2K17 is designed to penalize people who lay on the sprint button all the time, because that’s simply not a realistic way to play basketball"
‘Hey, I’m [rated] 95, so I’m good’ — you want to be able to separate that field, and really start bringing out the guys who really know what they’re doing versus the others."
I'm gonna cry

This x1,000.
Hopefully I can punish kids who do the same predictable dribble sequence with timing now. This sounds like it specifically caters to my brand of defense.
Actually everything sounds too good to be true...so it'll probably be amazing the first month, and get nerfed to hellLast edited by ViolenceFight; 08-22-2016, 02:39 PM.Female Russell Westbrook.

Can't wait for the day when you will be able to break someone's uncle (funny typo I leave it) without turbo, when you will be able to turn the corner without turbo, when people will have to react to your jabs and respect your first step, when moving the ball will not only be to get an open shot but get the defense on their toe, when you will be able to attack the closing out defenders who will be caught going the wrong way. I feel like most of theses things weren't in 2K16.Comment
