I'm quite certain that it's Ian Clark.

They have also updated Richard Jefferson, back to his babyface without the beard as in real-life. He had a really scruffy beard in 2K16.

    My impressions:
-Curry has finally been updated, hair looks accurate now
    -Jumpshots look really smooth
-Draymond Green doesn't have the Glen Davis bodytype anymore
    -Net animation looks vastly improved
-The Warriors jersey looks better than 2K16
-The court colours look much more vivid
-Updated warm-up tracksuits for bench players

That is some major noodle arms lol. It's the gumby effect!

Who ever is doing the body models needs to take a class on anatomy asap.

I would add to this that the player models for LeBron, Kyrie, JR Smith, and Iman Shumpert have been updated to their NBA Finals appearances. Wish someone could grab a decent screenshot of LeBron though.

The lighting appears better as well.

Shoulders are kinda ****ed. It's almost like there is an awkward piece of "body" between the players torso and his shoulder joint. Looks slightly alien-Esque.

The too big, too skinny, not toned, too toned, doesn't bother me so much. Would love the option of actually being able to select a body type on players and CAPs this year though.

I think someone mentioned it earlier in the post. 2K doesn't seem to have been able to get muscle cut on the player models. In order to replicate the more cut up real life NBA players like Butler, 2k gave bulkier muscled arms which makes them look huge. Though a player may have skinny arms (KD) the muscle cut makes the arms look bigger. NBA players have sleek cut up bodies on average and the cut up part of the arm muscles is what 2K hasn't gotten down yet.

This is why they need to let us edit players' bodies and even uniform sizes. At least we could then get them right.

I don't think the problem is necessarily the art team but something is limiting with whatever they are able to build from whatever. It is like they had to make a decision scary thin with no definition or big no in between.

One thing is clear this year if a person is deemed skinny that means noodle arms this year from what I seen. No bicep at all no definition

So it is like this you either get CP3/ roided 2K16 or noodle arms lol.

I am interested in seeing Giannis. He is a very slim lanky build but he actually has muscle definition.

I have faith in 2k. I think they're still working on player models tbh. They fixed Rose a few yrs back weeks after they themselves released footage of him. I think they'll fine tune some of these players. Kd looks great, but his arms are just too skinny. It's still not that bad because it's easy to spot him while playing, but just a little muscle definition and slightly bigger arms would be perfect.

Shorts prob won't be touched this year, I can see how that could take more work, but just a little shorter would be GREEEEAT. I'm gonna try to photoshop these pics with shorter shorts, see the difference it makes.

Over or under done it seems..... totally agree.

KD just looks like I gotta make an OXFAM donation. Jimmy Buckets looks like he stole it before it reached KD.

The best player model in 2k16 was Terrence Ross. Go look. Good ratio of arm to shoulder size. Obviously you would need to be able to make players skinnier or with more mass, but he actually looks like an NBA athlete. If they could use his model, but with options for taller, shorter, skinnier, bigger, etc that would be a nice blueprint.

I agree with this. KD is too skinny. His body type was a lot better in 2k16. KD has actually gained a little weight in is upper body the last couple of years. 2k17 looks to be a regression. SMH

Lack of muscle definition really makes it look a lot worse then what it really is, 2k cant seem to find that happy median when it comes to player bodies, I thought KD looked pretty good last year but I guess we been complaining about a skinnier Durant for so long then 2k said fine make him extra skinny and call it a day.
