About the bumping animations - it really depends if they made it either a standard for every player (id say its effectiveness should be dependant on defensive stats) - or if they made a counter for it. For example bumping into eachother type defense in my opinion should be a decently risky thing to do. A great player for example might draw fouls this way.

Re: NBA 2K17 Video - Gameplay From Gamescom (Gento)
lol bro. how is that panic. you cant want "sim" and then when something unrealistic happens ur willing to let it ride. in REAL LIFE basketball, nobody is bumping lebron off like that unless it's a big. im talking David West. he was running...........***nning.............and KD(who is a very mediocre defender with a fraction of the strength of lebron) just slides and stops his momentum dead? thats not how basketball works bro. i understand u want a way to combat the cheese in the game, but thats not the way.
but this is where real "sim" nba schemes come into play. 2 of us have already mentioned it....but in real basketball, if lebron is going to insist on just driving up the floor like this, you let it play into your strengths and you ride his hip, you collapse the defense, or rotate a big, and force a contested layup...or you sink in and you force him to shoot a jumper. simple basketball does away with any cheese. but as it stands, 2K hasnt fixed the actual IQ part of the game. they added stop-get measures by letting KD just bump you off the ball. you know what comes next? Chris Paul just bumping a sprinting LBJ off the ball, dead in his tracks. instead of just actually putting together defensive schemes and correct rotations to combat it.Last edited by phriscaul; 08-19-2016, 02:12 AM.Comment

Was gonna post impressions but yall are already on it, I expect nothing less.
Agree with basically all that is being said but I will add that...
-Shooting animation looked so much better, Klays release was very quick. Hopefully this is global
-Loved the bench reaction and the few GS fans celebrating in the crowd.
-Everything looks so smooth, it's really beginning to rivial real life...Comment

Don't wanna ruin the excitement but also 2k16 was smooth, fast and flawless and with the first small update after few days of release they ruined it immediately

LeBron sequence wasnt really that deep to me...he was turboing down court and crossed over right into KD.
I dont want him phasing through that defender 'because he's LeBron'.Comment

Personally I dont take much out of a vid like this, but they are nice to see none the less. Hard to tell by watching, without have your hands on the controls yourself, but it did seem smoother and just something seem quicker about passes, but that might just be me since I havent played 16 in quite some time. Then again, I have thought the same things before, only to be fooled by 2k. Just guessing it probably is smoother, as thats something thats been slowly improving every year for a couple years now.Everyone who exalts themselves will be humbled, and he who humbles himself will be exalted- Luke14-11
