It's not the team per se. It's the fact that GSW will probably be the most used team in online ranked games. I'm not trying to play 100 games, and 90 of them was against GSW bandwagon users. At the same time, I'm not trying to spend 30 minutes looking for a non- GSW user to play against.

I get easily bored playing against the same team(s) all the time. If everyone chooses GSW in PNO, then I'll stop playing by December easily. PNO is really the only mode I play with any regularity
I don't like that people do that but thats just how it is. Usually its a kid that I am playing against, who does that. I always pick different teams. I think most of the people on this Forum do, however, most of the players online are kids and causal players. We assume everyone out there is a OSer. Thats just not the case

I agree. For the record, I really don't care that people choose to play with GSW. Players should be allowed to select whatever team they want. As a non-GSW user, I REALLY wish that 2K Sports would give us the ability to use filters for online games. I going to assume that the ability to merely back out of matches in PNO in NBA 2K16 was just an oversight, so I'm pretty confident that the ability will be in NBA 2K17. Dashboarding is a long process, because you have to watch the intro video every time you go back into the game.

I could be overreacting. Given how good GSW will be, I really don't feel like backing out 10 times in a row to settle on a Cavs user, because I don't feel like waiting anymore to get a game in.

How is that a question? Of course they will kind of be cheese online in a video game. Their will likely always be that one team that most people like to use online though. Luckily I'm an offline player though.

If I run into them online I will beat them. Simple.

Here's a question for you guys. Even if you win, are you okay with playing against them 85% of the time? Is that enjoyable, facing the same squad over, and over and over again?

Do this today: Instead of $%*#!@& on a game you're not going to play or movie you're not going to watch, say something good about a piece of media you're excited about.

Do the same thing tomorrow. And the next. Now do it forever.

Nope. No fun at all. Not for me atleast.

Yes because it was going to happen anyways...like has happened since the beginning of online gaming.

It doesn't matter. I have beaten the Warriors with the freaking Blazers by 40 points. Defense is key. Just play elite defense and make them brick their shots. Get easy transition points and go on runs. It's not as bad as you would think. Also, I would be more worried about the CPU than a human. No one is going to play with this team correctly online, so you can exploit them. As one user says on here: stick skills will triumph. If you know how to play you will find a way to win no matter who you face.

In other words, dying by the 3 is just like dying by anything else, though probably less likely to kill you than dying by post up or mid range.
Just show me the stat where shots off of post ups have the same efficiency as mid-range jumpers and you've got me. You can die by any shot you're right, but the 3 ball has the greatest risk-reward because missed 3s can be long rebounds. There were more fast break points off of missed 3s in the Finals then there were off turnovers.

First of all, everyone shut up about defense first and foremost. They dumbed down offense at a criminal level... It's not the games fault, it's yours you just suck at defense. The only thing that needs patched is the pump-faking/automatic jumping glitch, besides that defense is fine.

Players will usually pick the team that gives them the best chance to win, but that doesn't mean that you can't beat them. If I'm going for the achievement to get the trophy in the GOAT again next year, than I honestly probably will choose the Warriors. I love playing with them, and curry especially since he has all of MyPlayer's animations, and his insane shooting.

The only problem 2K actually needs to address is the mental badges on lesser teams. I like to pick the Suns because they are my favorite team. The Suns are a jump shooting team, if they're not hitting they lose. Sometimes I miss my first shot of the game with booker, knight, etc. and they will be cold for the rest of the game. Huge momentum swings happen because they don't have any badges to compose themselves and that is a problem using lesser teams. All in all though, I don't see them as cheese. A fun team to play with and against.

2k has to let us see who are opponents are picking before the game starts and allow us to back out. I love online play but I Dont want to use my Bucks vs GSW all the time.

                            Sure, here you go

And I'll blow up one of the pictures as well:

The non-restricted area paint shots would help encapsulate some of the post-ups as well.

In addition, you can see post-up efficiency here for some of the top players here

If you need more NBA.com is your friend. Very easy to see how every player does on post-ups and mid-range shots for the most part.

If you want to start dragging it out to include rebounding etc. then that's a separate argument that's a bit harder to define from publicly available stats. It would also include discussing how most teams don't send many players to the offensive glass anyway etc. to avoid as many secondary breaks as possible off defensive boards.

Warriors got messed up in both the OKC and Cavs series because their transition defense was bad, either way, wouldn't dispute that -- just wouldn't necessarily blame it on their 3s, more perhaps quick shots or floor imbalance due to quick shots.

Wow. Some of you are really missing the point. No one really is complaining about being unable to beat GSW. Most people are complaining, because online games are going to boring as hell playing against the same team constantly due to bandwagon users.

Right now, some users are concern whether or not we're going to be able to back out of the matchup without penalty. Players don't want to wait forever to get a non-GSW matchup or be "forced" play them due to new online penalties.

Agreed. I dislike that they took away team selection. It's all about match-ups. I wont choose the same team for Every team.
