Ben Simmons to Be a 76er, Now Where To Rate Him?

It appears the expected is happening and Ben Simmons will be your number one pick in the 2016 NBA Draft later this week.

"The team worked Simmons out privately on Tuesday, the first and only workout Simmons has done leading up to the draft. This was after the LSU star met with the team last week in Cleveland, where Simmons had been working out.

Simmons told SportsCenter on Tuesday he was in Philadelphia to 'introduce myself.'"

With Simmons as the newest member of the 76ers lineup, there's going to be a lot of expectation that the young PF can deliver results for the ailing franchise. But his game doesn't come without questions.

"The curious case of Simmons' shooting, however, is another story. This isn't your typical tale of a young, high-volume player who needs to improve his efficiency, but a heavy-usage, point-forward player who simply does not shoot from the outside. Simmons has taken three shots from deep the entire season. It is nearly beyond comprehension."

Simply put, while Simmons has a lot of strengths which should carry over into the pro game (and NBA 2K17) quite well, there are some other items which will draw questions from many as to the exact extent of his talent.

What do you think of Simmons in the 76ers lineup in NBA 2K17? What do you think his ratings should be as we head into a new season?

    PG - Ben Simmons
    SG - Dario Saric
    SF- Nerlens Noel
    PF - Jahlil Okafor
    C - Joel Embid

Lots of shots from the paint.

Probably in the 73-75 overall range with a high potential grade. He's going first overall based on his potential rather than his current skill level.

That might be what he should be, but that's not like 2K to make a #1 draft pick that low. Last year (I know different circumstances) KAT was 78, Russell 77, Okafor 77, KP 74, even WCS was a 74

My guess would be around the same ratings as above. 77/78

Ha that would be insane. Rumor is they are looking to trade back up into the top 8. I think they opening night roster might look like this

          PG Simmons
          SG Hield
          SF Saric
          PF Embiid
          C Noel

They have to trade bugs for shooting.

I doubt it. Probably won't have Embiid starting

Guy hasn't played a game in 2 years. From what I hear he will play like 20 minutes to start and may not play on back to back nights

He will be on a heavy minutes restriction. Especially early in the season.

I think he should be a 79 or 80. All first picks are picked because of their potential but he's also produced more than anybody in recent memory in college as well so the current skill is there.

You said they probably won't have Embiid starting, which is comedy. He's definitely going to be on a minutes restriction, but there's no way he's coming off the bench.
