Crosse Studios is back with a new lacrosse game entitled Powell Lacrosse 16. We're in the midst of reviewing this year's game -- but in case you want to make up your own mind, check out some fresh gameplay video above.

I played lacrosse in high school and this game doesn't even look fun.

I don't watch, or even know much at all about lacrosse but I was kind of curious when I saw this...it looks really similar to Rugby League Live 3 and true even was published by the same company. Sure it doesn't look as flashy as the big titles, but given their budget they make solid games.

The reason I am more interested though is because they are an australian company making a lacrosse game...lacrosse from what I know is vaguely (very vaguely) similar to the one of my favourite sports, hurling (in terms of that they both use sticks, ball is played in the air, have contact etc.), so the animations would have some similar mechanics I think. A hurling game would just be awesome and their would be a huge market it for it here in Ireland I reckon, maybe in america too there are quite a few GAA clubs there...

I'm gonna email them that suggestion. Doubt it would ever happen, but you never know, they might consider it in the future. I don't know how popular lacrosse is but I wouldn't have though Big Ant would make a game for it.

I am really excited to see your review on this. I love the idea of a lacrosse game, and one with a multi-year franchise mode? I'm in!
