A pet peeve is more of a minor annoyance. Not huge flaws that the majority of OS or 2K users are already aware of. Even the OP said it well "A pet peeve in a video game is just a little thing that drives you crazy. It’s not really a “game killer” or anything like that to me, it’s just that one thing you wish was better." We already know transition D and help D is flawed

No, the thread had a specific purpose.PSN=Coolcas7Comment

Yes of course.. just saying that my point was that I think the reason for this thread was it was supposed to be the small things, and it got turned into just listing your cons about the game. They are all viable reasons and complaints, just not all small, pet peeve type things as I think the OP intendedComment

2k16 has eliminated or improved many of my pet peeves of the past, and I can't think of any that really drive me crazy this year but there are still some annoyances.
I agree with the awkward slide and will add the touchy movement on the offensive side. Again I think this was improved this year but it is still difficult to stop where you want and position your player where you want. An example would be trying to make sure your player is behind the arc when attempting a 3. There are times where I will either step over the line when approaching the arc or end up taking a deep 3 when moving my player outside the arc.
Also agree about some of the defensive logic and help defense. There are times where players are wide open for seemingly no logical reason.
One that I will add is mismatches. This could be more or an error on my side but I can't stand when I see a juicy mismatch, like a big guarding a pg, and I can't take advantage. Try to cross him and blow by him and I can't get around him. Try to create space for an open jumper and end up with a contested shot. Perhaps it is me not approaching these situations correctly but there have been plenty of times where I thought I had an easy mismatch to exploit only for it to backfire in my face.Comment

as an "offline" player, pet peeves are:
Gameplay - off top: transition D, cherry-picking, and, i agree with strawberryshortcake regarding Players/Big Man guarding the crowd/standing out of the bounds under the basket instead of guarding the paint; on the animation part of this equation, body-warping into another player/the basket stand/the sidelines
Graphics - the biggest gripe is the color inconsistency, primarily with most of the players' skin colors, and in addition, color/saturation/hue of uniforms/courts... claiming to have used body scanning for player models, but still only using a limited set of body types (5 or 6, maybe) for some 400 NBA players (i'd rather, use body scan on all players to get the right body type/physical dimensions/ratios and not be able to edit them, OR, using the limited set of body types we have now but making them fully edit-able so we can best approximate what's real)Comment

Re: NBA 2K16: Biggest Pet Peeve?
The cover athletes being overrated and this year not only cover athletes but a ton of players. To many ppl on the roster that have close to a 90 rating. Curry with that ridiculously high OBIQ compared to Lillard, Kyrie, and Harden. At least they finally brought Lebron down to a realistic shooting rating.Comment
