This is one of the fundamental issues that I hope they can solve for NBA 2K17, because it's my opinion that they can't fix it year for whatever reason.

Do this today: Instead of $%*#!@& on a game you're not going to play or movie you're not going to watch, say something good about a piece of media you're excited about.

Do the same thing tomorrow. And the next. Now do it forever.

Live ball by itself may have been nerfed but it's a lot easier to get steals in that situation actually using the steal button...

Also, were you able to make the CPU pick up the ball pre patch? If so I don't remember it, I did it twice last game with on ball D

My idea for next year is to tie cut offs from the R Stick into the left trigger...

Did they remove the patch or something? The first day it was cool but now it seems like the game is playing like it did before patch.

I have put in at least 10 plus 12 minute games under the patch 4 vs. the CPU on SS/Sim

  • On Ball defense is overpowered against the CPU. The CPU is just too sticky on the perimeter good defenders , bad defenders, average defenders seems to not matter as much as far as the level of defense the CPU can play. I liked the CPU on ball defense prior to patch 4 you could exploit a mis match but after patch 4 not so much.
  • Has anyone been able to get consistent contact on the CPU? why are they so damn slippery?

As in Patch 3? it is feeling much different to me.

Patch 4 is the layup strip patch and contact layup reduced with overpowered OBD it is very clear those things were touched. They also let you you steal more on perimeter

The first day of patch 4 seemed like I had more control over movements. And also didn't get as many of those bump into the CPU and he will lose the ball moments. Now it seems opposite, I get many steals by just bumping CPU and also don't seem to have as much movement control

As a whole I still like the game, it's just certain things need to chill.

-No one gets stripped on drives this easily.

-In modes like Pro-Am, where you have max players, no way should guys with 90+ 3 point shots be missing so many (open) 3's.
Like, wide open shots...

-Zig zag is making a little bit of a comeback now that live-ball has been toned down to the point of being almost nonexistent on these dribbles.
While I agree that you shouldn't be able to sprint into someone's arm and get a steal, you also shouldn't be able to pull some And 1/Globetrotters ish and dribble through defenders like they don't exist.

-Too many times I feel like a ghost when going for an interception on bad passes. I literally see the ball get passed through my chest or arms sometimes.

-Reward good post players/punish bad ones.
Why put all this work into refining the post game, only to have hooks and fades miss so much? Yet people can just spam the power back down for 4 seconds then hit the shoot button and force the ball in with absolutely no move performed...or at least let me send that into the 10th row and not give me a foul animation.

That said, it feels like a switch was flipped the past two days and I can dominate in the post again. Not allowed to do hooks though, just up and unders...
I had 25 15 and 5....at half, in a Pro-Am game then everyone quit. Made me have hope in 2K again.

Been saying this.

I've been the guy trying to teach dribble moves/blow by techniques since launch when the AI was warping into place....but the CPU feels stickier than ever to me.....even bad defenders. I'm not having issues shooting any more and can use ball movement to score effectively, but it is definitively noticeable...

When I see guys say it's too easy to blow by on SS/SIM I'm like:

Spoiler

Lol.

Won't complain too much because I feel this is the best you've been able to play on ball D vs the CPU vs launch as well....contact hasn't been much of an issue for me...
