Yeah game is playing great right now overall

The CPU defense on SS/Sjm feels crazy sticky right now though....it's like my pet crossovers are getting canceled by contact...and this is coming from a guy who hadn't complained about it from day one...

I'll get after it again tomorrow, but it felt off in my last game tonight...

If you receive the ball while your player is moving, the ball can still come loose before your player has enough time to go into the pass fake animation.

It's because the pass fake animation is a stationary animation only. Your player has to be at a stand-still before the pass fake will trigger.

Your player is most vulnerable to being stripped of the ball while he's moving, even moreso if you have the turbo button held down.

So I recommend using the pass fake immediately after a rebound, or immediately after catching the ball along the perimeter or down in the post on offense.

I use it all the time in Pro Am whenever I'm spotting up in the corner for a three pointer and someone is closing out on me to where I won't have enough space to shoot or drive. Just stand still, pass fake once or twice to plan out your next move, then carry on from there and you won't turn the ball over.

That same strategy works in MyPark/Gauntlet whenever you're taking the ball out at the top of the key after a foul or turnover. Just pass fake until you know where you want to go with the ball and you won't have to worry about it coming loose.

After playing some more, Id have to say shooting is not only harder for me but also the AI, and I know its not me just being a good defender,lol. Before this patch I felt shooting was near perfect for me and the AI, but not a big deal, Ill just have to do some slider work to find the right spot for me and the AI offensively.

Lack of fouls were a issue on day1 and its even worse now with this last patch. Sadly Im not sure it can be fixed with sliders either considering I have them cranked too 100. Going to try and lower off/def awareness to see if that might make for more fouls but dont have much faith in that fixing it.

Gameplay other than what I mentioned with lack of fouls is still solid with this patch, so no complaints other than lack of fouls and really there needs to be more organic tournovers besides lowering passing slider to get more.

The issues that have been mentioned time and time again with My GM and My league along with lack of fouls and organic turnovers is where my gripe is and it seems this has been the same complaint for any hard core simulation style player for years. Every year I hope for the best and get very disappointed but end up buying the game anyway. I have to learn to not believe the hype and quit buying this game day1, so thats going to be a New Years resolution quite buying NBA2k day1, and treat it like I have een able to do with Madden for several years now. But thats not 2ks fault, its part of advertising and they all seem to struggle with the truth nowdays, its just sadly the way things work, but definitely going to try and stop buying into the whole BS each year.

Seems that way as Im hardly seeing any fouls for me or the AI and thats with all foul sliders at 100 even. It wasnt good before with lack of fouls and now its close to unbearable.

You can try what Im going to try and drop Offense and Defense awareness sliders and see if that may help with more fouls. Doubt it does but its worht a shot I guess.

This is what the game is, and Ill keep loving it for the next 3-4 months. Ive just finished an 82 game my league, and Ive just started a new one where Ill play all 82 games for Dallas and Cleveland

I still dont think dribbling is as responsive. In fact I think this area really lets the game down.

And bad/slow defenders are still too sticky.

But this game is awesome and is the best one they've made.

Man, it seems like Mike changed the shooting again. The midrange is super broke now. Seems like 3s are easier than middies now.

Thought it was just because I was playing HOF in MyCareer but it's super broke in Park. Very open shots and green releases is off. I am pretty sure it was messed with. Wish it would have been left like it was.

The fake pass is so damn good especially as a big. I actually like playing big man even more now . Also I saw a video where Mike recommended the "fake drive or fake spin " in the post up before doing a move. Very effective

I still see the bug exists where, after the first period is over, the game wants to load the player cut-away interview, but something goes wrong and it turns black and back to the game immediately. Any one knows whats up?

dribbling works for me. the only thing didnt sit well with me is the help defense. playing 82 games was grueling!
