Now you can't get many steals playing on-ball defense without pressing the X button, and guys can just dribble into your body and limbs without much consequence.

Just what people wanted because you should be able to sprint into kawhi with a basketball as fast as possible without protecting it without any sort of consequence!! So much more realistic to have it just be magnetized to you rather than punish you for playing bad!

Well I can't test anything out. I'm getting an error on PS4 before loading the main menu and going into offline mode

I like how my center can turn around quickly without going through a strange hitch animation.

I have no complaints...so far....they kind of eased up on the momentum which is what everyone is feeling the tight controls.

Beauty is in the realism . Not to allow those who does not know how to play to make zig zag

Yeah they definitely tweaked movement. You can tell by just going in practice and moving side to side...as much as I dribble lab its pretty noticeable.

I don't really feel like there is less contact in on ball D situations....I think the cut off's have actually been beefed up a little...I've seen a couple of situations where I made the dribbler pick up the ball...hadn't seen a lot of that previously.

Of course I agree with everyone regarding the tangibility of the ball....it's actually not completely gone, but it was a great defense against spammers...

While I'm annoyed with that, somehow defense feels better, cant quite put my finger on it. One thing that is immediately evident is that 'auto fouls' have been toned down...which allows you to now effectively build a wall on defense...I really like that...

Feels, like three point shooting was tuned...don't know how I feel about that yet.

I haven't really tested out much but i really can't understand the logic here. 2k always nerf according to whiners and cry babies and online cheesers. Yea ofcourse the game should be fun but you know what; it was already fun, if you happen to make a wrong move in a chess match you loose so why do they nerf bad decisioning such as dribbling into the crowd like a chicken?

Instead they should give us more situations in which the right decisions crash the bad decisions.
That's also another problem of you're never seeing blowouts between 2 user games. One is careful enough and make all the game and basketball decisions right input correctly yet the outcome always on balance. Yea i know that the one that makes right decisions will win at the end yet it will never be a 20 points blowout i'm sure.

                This.

I spent more time with the game after my initial posts, and I like what I'm seeing even more. I've been able to force more contested 'stop & pops', that would have been auto fouls pre-patch.

Everything feels less twitchy. Check out this play. The ball and player movement is crisp. I love the animation where Patterson (I think) can't stop the penetration. That has been a great addition and needs to be developed more. Before it was either blow by or brick wall.

I can't get over how fast the Allstar Teamup mode is playing. It's like centers like DeMarcus Cousins have rockets attached to their shoes. Also, they tamed graphics down with lower resolution images (very noticeable and aggravating to look at).

I still don't see any valid complaint about ball looseness. The fix wasn't made to protect the offensive player from turboing into the defense, it was made to fix the DEFENSE turboing into the OFFENSIVE PLAYER. You shouldn't be awarded a possession by simply steamrolling into the ballhandler.

I know most of you who play Park only play 3v3, so a lot of times you don't see the flaw in this. But as someone who plays mostly walk-on and arena Pro-Am, it becomes insanely obvious. Now I'm a very defensive-minded player, but even I have to admit that it was getting ridiculous when I could just turbo into the ballhandler's arms and force him to drop/lose the ball completely, without so much as having to even ATTEMPT a steal.

Have they at least reduced contested shot in the pain success if they felt the need to reduce losing the ball off dribbling on defenders? If not, this patch just made the Thunder even more OP because now Westbrook can fair even better barrelling into the paint because this time there isn't a fear of losing the ball.

I play a TON of ProAm too. My comments earlier in the thread was before XB1 users could get the patch. So I was going by the posts people put up about how they felt towards the live ball physics.

I actually agree with you here and this is exactly what should've been done to level the playing field. In ProAm last night post patch 4, I still noticed turbo over dribbling ball handlers were being punished just like PRE patch 4. I also noticed the shooting was tweaked slightly to make it more difficult to hit contested shots. Last but not least, I witnessed 2 kickball violations called in 1 game. First against defender running into the offense player to bump you and try to pop the ball out of you and second when the ball was loose and someone ran for it kicking it accidentally in the process.

This is all on ProAm and not any other mode. I noticed in MyCareer though that I could turbo into traffic with less consequence; not substantially less, but enough to notice a change. I don't play "Play Now" and the park has become boring and less enjoyable so haven't tried there either.
