Re: NBA 2K16 Screenshots & Ratings - Day Four: Wall, Ross & More as They Arrive
I think we need to relax on the OVR... Remember Kobe didn't even play the whole season (not even up to half). You can't give him an OVR rating completely based on his last season when he wasn't even close to completing it. Also remember, Kobe in game won't be dealing with injuries like he was in real life last season. Thus the rating needs to be partially based off of what he does/can do while healthy. His last healthy season (the 12-13 season), he was at 27 and 6 on 46% shooting (numbers unheard of from a 34 year old).
I think you guys are also forgetting... Rose started 2K15 with an 88 overall after averaging 15 and 4 on 35% shooting the season before. Obviously those numbers don't warrant that high of a rating but what he did the previous season as well as what he can do while healthy goes into the rating at the start of the season.

Can't believe how photorealistic 2k is coming with the screenshots for some of their players. This particular 2k T. Ross picture is bloody magnificient. Can honestly be mistaken for a page straight from a magazine shoot. T. Ross eyes and lighting screams alive with life.

I noticed they did the black and white crowd for Kobe because its been so long since he's been relevant.
I kid, I kid.
Seriously, that pic is just amazing! And those jerseys....WOW!
Curious to see what his durability rating is thoughI can't shave with my eyes closed, meaning each day I have to look at myself in the mirror and respect who I see.
I miss the old days of Operation Sports :(

Re: NBA 2K16 Screenshots & Ratings - Day Four: Wall, Ross & More as They Arrive
No one here, internally and externally, is a bigger Kobe fan than I am... but I agree with 85 - coming off an injury last year & based on how the ratings have been constructed for NBA 2K16. Also not that worried because the Black Mamba will rise that # up this season.Comment

Re: NBA 2K16 Screenshots & Ratings - Day Four: Wall, Ross & More as They Arrive
For people complaining about Kobe just imagine he's only an 80 and 2k gave him a benefit of the doubt, former cover guy, soon to be HOF +5 ratings boost...The guy has been injured but can anyone say if he manages to stay relatively healthy next year he isn't worthy of that rating? It's Kobe "freaking" Bryant..Last edited by NINJAK2; 08-28-2015, 08:27 PM.EA and 2k have the unfortunate task of trying to balance on a tightrope of fun and sim while trying not to fall 10,000 feet to their death. Instead of a safety net waiting down below there will just be angry customers quick to move out of the way and talk of their failure.Comment

That Kobe pic is dope. Can believe some have the audacity to complain about his 'perma mad' face. I highly doubt it stays that way during the whole game.
That 85 rating tho...ooof.Comment
