I tried every available option (including the exact one you've outlined), but the game won't load after being deleted until you re-install WITH the "latest update"...

It literally won't let you play YOUR game without THEIR updates...

Period.

XB1 here, this is what happened to me too. i was prompted for the player likeness thing, but was never prompted for anything else. i think i actually got a roster update at the time.

i shut my system down and booted back up to see if it would prompt, and to my dismay i got the dang restart bug.

i've played my online cfm since.
