I have seen him play. He warrants a nice increase as I pointed out. But lets be serious. Did he really deserve a 14 point increase to put him in the elite with only Megatron and Jeffery? Lets be honest. A 99?

Did the Giants Win the game? I think the catch was spectacular great hands but a 14 boost of 1 game. Also he missed allot of time at the start . I guess Donny was watching the game & dropped his pop corn after the catch and went to work on boosting him....lol

Lol Larry Fitzgerald, Andre Johnson,Calvin johonson, jordy nelson ,mario mannigham etc they all practice it and many more. They work out with jerry rice. All the greats did it as well Cris carter,randy moss,to. I can go on and on. The media just focused on him but there tons of guys that can do it. o and I forgot about Hakeem Nick's.

has anyone taken a team and raised all ratings to 99 and then played the team against itself to see the results?

I know one thing, it seems putting ratings to zero can crash the game...

so just because they sign with a team they deserve a decrease? umm last i checked these update's were suppose be how the player PLAYED that week... so if they get signed out of FA they shouldnt get a decrease because they havent played that week or previous week they should just be added to the team that signed them.


i dont ever remember in past maddens where this has happened players have just got added to there new teams.

I believe this happens because the "ratings czar" doesn't pay any attention to the player until he is added to a team. Once a player is signed to an active roster the "ratings czar" will then adjust the ratings so that he fits in with the team.

If a 78 OVR Linebacker is signed to a team where the average for Linebackers is 75 OVR, unless the free agent is a star player the "ratings czar" will lower ratings to artificially make him look like a 2nd team LB on that roster. It's sad.

Some are okay but you don't say what the trait does.for ex If 2 kickers has 95 accuracy they have good accuracy. You have have a trait which basically says that they have good accuracy, which is already known so what's that trait do? Know what I mean?

The traits eliminate ballooned ratings my man he wouldn't need 95 accuracy b/c the trait takes the place of rating players by numbers. Plus kick power would need to be a factor. Madden didn't make kicking matter anyway. people knock down 50 -55 yrd fgs all day on madden.there no skill to it. BTW theese traits are from apt 2k8 and this system worked pretty well in

Exactly. I wonder if they bumped Brent Grimes' SPC rating up 14 points too when he made almost an identical play on an interception in the Miami/Detroit game.

I already edited Beckham's spectacular catch rating to 99 before EA did. Have you seen this kid in pregame warmups? He has done things with the football that I have never seen before. The catch he made just wasn't "one catch." It was skill, as he has the ability to make those kind of catches routinely.

Being able to make acrobatic, jaw dropping catches does not make one a great receiver. I think the rating for him is justified, though. And I'm not even close to being a Giants fan.

There's a lot to complain about with how EA rates players... But Beckham's SPC rating shouldn't be one of them.
