Madden NFL 15 Week 13 Roster Update Available Now, Odell Beckham Jr. (SPC) Rating 99

EA Sports has released the Madden NFL 15 week 13 roster update, along with an Excel spreadsheet showing all of the changes. These changes include updated ratings and/or position changes for 508 players.

The overall rating for Odell Beckham Jr. increases 4 points to 84, with his Spectacular Catch rating (SPC) going up 14 points to 99. Odell joins Megatron and Alshon Jeffery as the only receivers in Madden NFL 15 with a spectacular catch rating of 99.

WOW yet again another player signed by the browns and again recieves a -3 decrease? why are these guys recieving decreases? i could see if they had a bad game but just because they sign with a team serious?

I doubt its based off of one catch. OBJ been making spectacular catches since LSU. That one catch just brought attention to his skill. Henceforth, EA corrected a mistake because his spectacular catch rating should've been in the 90s from the beginning.

Absolute nonsense maddens ratings system needs to be changed so players can have badges or abilities it would help with them pulling ratings out of the air. Larry Fitzgerald may not be having a great yr but he does those one handed catches all the time in practice and all during his career and yet he doesn't have a 99 spc rating ? This would easily be solved with a ability based rating system b/c all they would need to do is just add on the ability instead of pulling a numerical number off the top there head.

On another note - with the ease that ratings are raised and lowered, may lead one to consider that ratings really do not mean much at all...

So Dez Bryant makes great catches left and right and he has been stuck at a 98 SPC Catch for the past 2 years. This guy does ONE fantastic catch and gets a 99 INSTANTLY? I understand maybe a 5-7 point increase or something but a 14 point increase off of ONE CATCH? That's completely ridiculous.

The big thing is that SPC Catch unlocks different catching animations. By making this catch, which is one of the hardest to catch, he's proven that he has the ability to make the other catches. Im a Bears fan, and even though Jeffery hasn't made a spectacular catch in several weeks, his SPC Catch stays at 99 because we all know he can make a ridiculous catch at a moments notice

I play with the Giants, excited to put this into action...but then again, ratings don't always seem to really matter.

There's a reason players are free to sign with the Browns (or anyone) in the first place...

so just because they sign with a team they deserve a decrease? umm last i checked these update's were suppose be how the player PLAYED that week... so if they get signed out of FA they shouldnt get a decrease because they havent played that week or previous week they should just be added to the team that signed them.


i dont ever remember in past maddens where this has happened players have just got added to there new teams.
