I have seen all all the parameters of the cl.ini. We're talking about dozens of "microsliders" and hidden cpu AI parameters which are all harcoded in the console version. So, even if you change a slider in the menu that EA provides ingame you have behind it a whole spreadsheet of individual sliders that you can't change and are more important than the one you've changed ingame.
That said, pc users are lucky that have access to all those microsliders and can leave intact on default most of the ingame sliders.
So we on PC dont depend on slider changes as much as they who play fifa on console?

In your opinion 15 plays pretty good without slider changes and the use of custom tactics?

From what I understand doesnt custom tactics affect gameplay as it did with 14?

In this FIFA more than ever changing tactics is CRUCIAL. Changing between attacking, normal, defensive makes a world of difference in this game compared to previous versions.

On legendary I found myself rarely needing to switch to defensive or ultra defensive on previous versions. I played that way and struggled defensively and last few games change depending on what is going on in the game. Makes a world of difference.

do you change formations throughout the game as well or mainly just the attcking, ultra attacking, all out, that type of tactics?

I'll drop into a more defensive shape when I feel the need (mostly final 30 minutes) and even pull a winger and bring in a DM or CM.

Last night I was up 2-0 against Rayo Vallecano and they brought tremendous pressure in 2nd half. So I went into ultra defensive and into a 4-5-1 and took Isco off and brought Illarramendi to complement Khedira. Completely halted their attack and changed the game for me where I felt they were gonna score any minute. As the attack changed, I went from ultra to defensive and then hit them on the counter for a goal to make it 3-0.

I've also used park the bus a few times in the final minutes which I find just as important in 1 goal games where the AI is sending everything at you.

So true! Mentality is a huge factor here! Just love the mental game we have to think about... Do I play a pressing game and attacking to score and avoid the CPU attacks, but risking a dangerous counter? Or do I sit back to a secure gameplay but risk a goal if I´m not good enough defending CPU pressure all over me? Just great stuff!

I don't know if you've tried this, but I've also moved positions around. I'll substitute in another CDM or defender for a forward and then move the positions around for more defensive cover. Unlike previous versions, I feel this year's game has pacing where one team will dominate the ball (instead of ping pong).

I'd never tried this before, but I can't believe how differently the CPU plays with Legacy Defending on. It plays a much slower, more conservative game. Much less juking, spinning, and sprinting. I saw a tonne of back passes too.

Unfortunately, it is just too easy to defend on LD.
