23 ain't lying about sound and modulation. The crowd is supposed to be louder for LeBron and speaking of standing up, I've always had a problem with fans being on their feet cheering wildly in an exhibition or season game. This isn't the playoffs. I'd like to see a better use of dynamic crowds.Another sports game did this well with dynamic crowds and reactions. Still need to get the big shot reactions right.Whatever you do, don't give constructive criticism or say anything negative about Madden video games! It seems to be the equivalent of a felony...Comment

Re: NBA 2K15 Trailer - The Land
Well you're psyching yourself out. Nobody is wowed when watching intros on tv. For the fact that its there and we'll done is what's nice about it even if not every aspect is nailed to perfection. Another stake towards completeness.
You're missing the big picture on this even though it's only so significant by wanting instant gratification of shiny on everything.
I'm gonna enjoy the game more the first time I pop it into my PS4 if I don't already know what to expect. I've gotten that more with other games as well. I don't really watch a lot of gameplay as I used to.
I'll watch the first ones early on, but it only whets my appetite. I know the creative process pretty well, so I think I can stay grounded and not feel let down if things don't really equal some expectation I had.Comment

Or is it a matter of budgetary triage? The resources that could go to getting new sounds in the game are going to recording NBA players poorly acting or the customized soundtracks by famous people?Comment

Ill keep this on the trailer
But I started a sound thread here some time ago nobody really cared to post on so maybe next year.
The intro is cool better than the exact same shot in every arena every game.Comment

While the intros, cool as they are, have some flaws, I bet they'll be a lot better with the commentary crew talking over it and with broadcast graphics splashed here and there.Comment

Here's the thread, by the way, perhaps worth a bump once the game is released, if things remain the same: http://www.operationsports.com/forum...tmosphere.html
Getting their audio on track would trickle all the way down to things like the starting line-ups here. I think it's something we've accepted over the years for its subpar status quo. But once it finally gets the overhaul needed, people will wonder how we ever settled for less (similar to how we'll feel once buzzer beaters are finally done right).Last edited by VDusen04; 09-16-2014, 02:20 PM.Comment

Re: NBA 2K15 Trailer - The Land (Showing Off Player Introductions)
I do not think it was that no one cared. I think it's just pretty straight forward. We know very little about how the audio is created and a lot of the sounds used sound so poor that it makes many of us wonder if there's a very difficult process involved that does not allow them to make them more realistic. At this point, it's almost like, the best we can is say, "Please make the sounds more realistic" while posting clips from real games. I really wonder why that aspect of their game tends to drag behind so much.
