GameStop is once again hosting Madden Mondays. Every Monday until release, they will showcase a new video.

We missed it last week, but you can watch the first two episodes now. The first one is on Skills Trainer and the second one on strategies.

Is that clip current gen? That looks like the same old madden too me. Something about Peyton manning looks awkward to me. The legs look weird

You can tell just by the graphics this is next gen, look at the wrinkles in the uniforms. I thought it looked great.

At first I liked the wrinkles. After realizing they're static and don't move and that they're just a texture, it kinda irks me.

these really didnt do anything for me
i love the skills trainer aspect

the player movements look kinda unatural to me :/ and im not the type to really complain about the movement in the madden series

In the 2nd video, where Moreno ran the ball in for a TD on the goal line, you can really see how dated the AI is. The goal line defense has been really bad for a long time now. The DE's and DT's just sit there and play patty cake with the OL and don't even try to stuff gaps.

I actually liked the look of the skills trainer thing that appeared to be coaching you about where in a route's progression you should be looking to deliver a ball, given a certain coverage.

I know for one that I can use some work understanding pass concepts in their entirety, so this looks like something I'll actually use if I'm interpreting its functionality correctly.

Ya, it would be nice to have a need for the presecusion dive that allows you to leap the pile. Wheras right now, I can hurdle my line and theirs from two yards out on a QB sneak or just shoot through a gap even if the center and gaurd gaps are manned.

It really is a mock to what the goalline defense is like in real life. It must not be high on their list of to-do's.

Why did they have the camera crews out there, that's a little weird. Make me think their using one environment for all game modes.

I think the skills trainer could be fun to do and the celebrations look good. If they have those available for CFM practice I think I will actually practice with my younger players this year. Although I need to see if the CPU will practice as well.

Madden has never incorporated gaps. Unless you count the years Strahan was in the league, and graphics weren't really detailed enough to depict that gap.
