I was wondering if you redo the showcase or not if you go to college, article didn't specify. The article did say you can go to college for 1 to 4 years. I wonder if you can test your draft status after each year of college, or if the game decides for you how long you stay in school, or what? Isn't there a draft rule that if you attend college, you can't enter the draft until your 21st birthday? So how could you only go to college 1 year? I don't know much about the MLB draft though, like what happens to a college player that is drafted but decides to stay in school, are there any regulations for entering the draft again?

In the MLB, if you get drafted in high school, you have the choice to enter the minors or go to college. If you decide to go to college, you must stay for 3 years. It'll be interesting to see if they enforce that in the game.

I'm glad to see them add something like this amateur showcase for RTTS. I'm wondering just how difficult it will be to end up being the 1st pick of the draft.

You can't restart the career of an existing mlb player, that's a mis quote. You can mold your player in the likeness of an existing MLB player.

I don't play rtts but I noticed on the screenshot of McCutchen his speed was at the third of five bars which would indicate average speed. I wonder how that is calculated and if it will carry over into franchise. He was a track star in high school and is one of the fastest players in MLB.

Now that they have revealed that you can model yourself after an MLB player, how many people choose Trout or Harper?

I'm guessing a lot lol. It's more than just attributes too, that are copied from the major leaguers.

I admit though that I will probably be one of those people in atleast one of my rtts. I would just use the ratings though and change everything else.

Great read on RTTS. I will definitely be playing this mode a ton more this year. LOVE that advancement goals are history and trade requests can be granted now.

Actually, if you get drafted out of high school, but then decide to go the junior college route, you can be drafted again the next year. Those rules have been taken into account in the design of going back to school. You must go to school for at least 3 years if you go to a university.
